I'm pretty sure you can get your colour choice....speak with someone like Exel Wheels or Lepsons. Exel will provide loan wheels if necessary as they apparently offer a concierge type wheel refurb service where they come to you for ease.
Yes it can be done on the one proviso that they haven't been refurbished a couple of times already. These are diamond cut finishes which means they spray the wheel a colour (silver or black on these occasions) and when complete, they place the wheel in a lathe and machine the face with a diamond tipped tool to leave the "shiny" part. They then lacquer the whole wheel protecting the painted and shiny parts. My proviso is that you can only do this a few times before there is not enough metal left on the wheel to safely remove anymore and you can then only paint them rather than machine them. They may have been done before due to kerbing (if too bad, can only be painted), lacquer peeling/going milky (the bond to the bare metal is poor and is more vulnerable to stonechips and water/chemicals getting in behind) or as per yourself just a colour change. That's it in basic terms, any decent wheel refurbishment place will be able to expand further. Hope that's of help

It’s an August 15 car in sapphire blue, with 22000 miles on the clock. PDK, with silver dials and GTS interior package, silver stitching, carbon fibre bits, Carera S 20” wheels, Bose sound....
The car has just had its four year service at my OPC and is in rude health, wanting for nothing for some time.....pads, discs, tyres loads of life. I’m going to have the front bumper resprayed to return that as new look. No dings, no scuffed wheels, immaculate interior....its good condition was commented on by OPC.
The car is covered by the full monty Porsche extended warranty for another year.
Thoughts, advice?

Last time I looked at prices which was a few weeks ago I would guess it's worth around £49k in a private sale, trade probably around £47k and it would be around £57k at an OPC. Specialists might offer you around £50k if they have a buyer in mind. Prices are still very strong.
If you like the GTS, I personally wouldn't sell until you've decided what to buy and really do want to change.

The car is stunning as you know, I just like change at times....you know, to experience different things.
It’s hard moving on though: I’d love a GT3, but not for road work, meaning I’d hardly ever use it. The GT4 is too similar to the GTS, which I firmly believe is a better road car with a sweeter engine-without the long gearing!
I’m being drawn to the F90 M5, having loved every previous version, especially that mad E60 V10.
Do people buy £50K cars privately, that’s the thing.
Thinking time I think, but I think I’ll sell and then decide what next to give myself the head space.

I also think the GTS is a better road car than a GT4 with a much sweeter engine. The gearboxes are the same by the way, and they're also the same as in in the 987.2 Cayster...

I'd try 911virgin, JZM, RPM etc.
After much thought, and several test drives, I’ve reached the conclusion that I’d be mad to get rid of my 981 Cayman GTS, which really is a sublime sports car for the road.
The 997 GTS is a magnificent car, but this mid engined wee guy is better.
The 997 Turbo is brutally fast, but lacks feel and is ultimately quite boring and unengaging to drive.
My job now is to convince Mrs Jazzer that she deserves to enjoy the M5 experience like I have three times, or that it is time for her to appreciate some Italian flair in the form of a Quadrifoglio-both of these cars are practical, with large boots and ample space for shopping and outlaws!!!

A 981 GTS may not be your favourite car - or even mine - but, by common consent is a very good car indeed. If there was any more circle jerking on this thread it would be on xhamster.
