It's most likely Ackerman effect, which can be a bit of a shock if you've not come across it before. For once 'they all do that' is actually true. I found it worst when I had a 981 with Pirellis, but it also is quite pronounced with the Goodyears on your GTS.
This virtually disappears with Michelin PS4S tyres.Twinfan said:
£15k less than your average GT4, and it has PDK. Horses for courses.
I know you don't like them, but GTSs are very popular and are holding their value well.
And of course I paid a bit less than 65k and was looking for a low mileage car so a GT4 was out of reach for me without spending considerably more. I know you don't like them, but GTSs are very popular and are holding their value well.

I'm a long term 911 and GT owner, but even I have to concede that the 981 GTS is one of the nicest real world/road going Porsches of all time - simply sublime for the money.
Unusually, for me, I also prefer it with PDK.
I've been thinking of upgrading to a 981 Spyder or GT4, my car pretty much had a deposit on it, but it's such a good road car, great fun and manual which for me is preferable as dailies are auto I had too kept it. Rather than spend 30K on a GT4 I can keep the GTS for road fun and get a Radical for track fun. I think the GTS will always be an amazing road car. Unusually, for me, I also prefer it with PDK.
Similar to me - I took a GT4 out at PEC and wasn't blown away. Yes, it's faster round a track but on the road there are very few places you can exploit the handling advantage, plus I preferred the feel and sound of the 3.4 engine in the GTS. The 3.8 in the GT4 is so obviously strangled - it felt rough and not as polished. £30k, for me, will be better spent elsewhere!

Agreed, otherwise I would have accumulated 5 CGT4s by now...Hopefully they always will be. Hence scared to ever sell it lol. If you've got a good spec or the spec you like now, think twice about selling it. That's what stopped me too, to find another in this spec would be tough so if I did want another id probably struggle. Just told myself I'm keeping it for another 2 years at least. It's 3 years old now and done 9000 miles, must use it more!
the 4 year service will be coming up on mine soon (October).
i'd like to free myself of the shackles of OPC servicing and warranty but i'm well aware that any problems will likely end up costing me so i'm trying to consider as much info and opinions as possible.
i know some of you are weighing up the pros and cons right now and i'm interested in any decisions being made.
i currently have non N rated MPS4S (which i love) and these are non warranty items, together with the zunsport grilles and i would need to change tyres and possibly remove grilles for the car to pass required checks.
i don't intend on selling unless am forced to do so (things go wrong financially etc).
if i did have to sell, would independent servicing devalue the car? car has a 'desirable' spec incl. manual, buckets, X73, PTV, int pack and so on.
as far as i know some of the issues i've read about on here (such as engine mount failure and or brake pedal sticking) hasn't happened on mine yet so i'm worried sod's law will mean these or other things will rear their ugly head after the warranty expires.
