Nah not driven it mate. More inclinded to keep the GTS at the mo. 25K is alot to change into something that feels so similar. If it was list and had GT4 suspension and brakes id consider it. I have expressed interest in the 718 Spyder should it be NA, heard that it should be identical to the GT4.

Anyhow I have my hopes up of getting one at list so thinking a few tweaks for the GTS.

Power mods are quite alot, £5000 for 25hp/18lbft.

So I've been thinking about the things I don't like about the car, steering, and gearing.

A 718 rack, steering wheel would be great for the GTS, lower final drive or shorter gears aswell. It would make it a better car to drive.

Hopefully I get told your not having a 718 Spyder sooner than later and I can crack on tweaking the GTS lol.
Are you sure the 718 Spyder is going to be the answer though as it won’t sound as good as your GTS!
Hey Phil, maybe if I were to change the exhaust?

Looked like you were enjoying it on Sunday!!!
It got driven haha. I do enjoy it, just the front end doesn't feel very communicative, abit dull.

Better steering, shorter gearing for the manual, cup2 tyre....would be epic. smile)

Still a great car and goes well around those roads smile

Could do but then you void the 2/3 year warranty.

Tell me about the 991 tune? If like more power but the feeling of how the car drives is more important for the cost.
Porsche detuned the engine in the 981, you can feel it's artificially strangled. Lots of information if you Google.

Will do. Seen alot of people on Planet9 doing Fabspeed headers, Cobb Tune, and IPD. Getting to about 360hp.

Good to know I’m not crazy lol! Got any pics?
Here's a couple of my recent purchase, having traded in my 718 Cayman GTS. 3 years old and worth as much as my trade in price for the 5 month old 718. With just over 2,000 miles on the clock, this feels brand new too.

Perfect!! Looks gorgeous, the BGTS I sold prior to getting my 718 was Carmine, fantastic colour.

That’s why I went for a low mileage 981 GTS too, it doesn’t make sense financially but I wanted something that felt as brand new as possible!

Is that Solihull? That’s my local OPC

Really in Carmine, almost bought on in Carmine but you snooze you loose lol.

After speaking with Jens this morning you cannot change the behavior of the steering, but he has said changing the GEO helps alot and will give more driving pleasure. Waiting for the GEO setup recommendations from him.

You could monoball the LCA ends and fit PS4S, those 2 have to offer some plus effect on feel, shame about the steering on the 981's as the BGTS would be my perfect daily.

I would say zero toe up front and about -2.2/1.8 f/r if you want a real fast road geo, add the PS4S and the monoball LCA and that might feel ok.
maybe add 10mm spacers up front and 5mm at the rear for a wider front track and over all wider track all round, wider front will also help turn in.

most fit wider rear spacers for looks at the expense of understeer !!!!

Try it all and report back :-)

Nice one mate. Its a cracking car but if i can get more feel out of it, it can only get better. With winter coming perfect time to start fiddling about.

I've seen the guys on Planet9 adding spacers, I was concerned with arch rubbing under compression, you think with 5 and 10mm they would be ok?

yes imo fine with that, the people who go for show not go fit 15mm at the rear which just makes the care push more !!

It does, I found that. I have max camber front and rear and it feels better than it was when new.

Will you be able to get to the those cambers without changing more parts?

What alignment settings do you run? How different does it feel and in what respect?

I doubt it :-) hence the added monoball LCA, win win better geo and more feel :-)

maybe get -1.5 at the front and add spacers and go from there if one is happy at that , it's then cheap.
