Certainly looks to go well. I wouldn't be able to deal with the car changing gears for me. Mid corner too is shocking.

it not that quick a mX5 did 7.37 in the week lol with a none turbo manual sub 200bhp car.

enjoy it's worth the watch.

when you think now the GT2 is 2 miles up the road after a lap times from the top cars are mental.

The shifter mechanism for the GTS has been machined and is now the same as a GT4 shifter (rod reduced by 20mm and machined for gear knob and gaitor). I just need to install it next maybe sometime next week and report back.

So close to doing a deal on a GT4 Steering Wheel and Airbag, just confirming a few things, if it works out then that will be fitted in a few weeks after its retrim. Fingers crossed.

Not cheap mate, but it will be fully worth it once done. Just waiting on the airbag to arrive smile

Too quiet here......everyone out enjoying there cars?! Weather has been pretty pants I was hoping to get out this morning.

Anyhow I know have a GT4 steering wheel fitted, still waiting for the airbag to arrive, should be this week. It feels so much better, abit smaller, less chunky, and generally has abit more feel through it.

Next up is the GT4 Shifter. Will fit it this week, made a start but ran out of time.

I'll be getting a GT4 gear gaitor too with silver stitching to match my GTS interior pack, Alcanarta gear knob, and the wheel as I managed to find a slightly used one will also be getting silver stitching and 12 o'clock mark. Should all look and feel very neat when done.

Oh saw a 991.2 GT3 has the same wheel as the GT4 but the Silver surround trim is now a matt black, so will be getting that also.

Nice to be looking at parts, alot of fun about the changes you can make! Once all this is done the 981 Spyder Spoiler will be going on, along Spacers and a more aggressive geo. Will feel like a new car for next spring without spending new car money!!

Been driving the wheels off of mine (2016 6MT Cayman GTS w/ X73) here in the Chicago area, USA. Trying to get in as many miles as possible before the weather deteriorates...

Anyone use a trickle charger over the winter?

I haven't for the last two and haven't had any problems, but with the car / battery getting older I'm thinking to get one now.

I have seen this, and they have an optional cigarette lighter connector adaptor too, never heard of a battery being kept up to charge via the cig lighter.

Any options or other recommended trickle chargers?

Been wondering about this too, my tax runs out in December and no point putting it back on the road until March/April.

Doesn't it need to be tax'd if insured now?

Would’ve thought it only needs to be taxed if it’s being used on the road?

I thought it changed a while ago, but I might be wrong. If you can SORN it and keep insured then makes sense in not buying tax until when shes back out on the road.

I have always just SORN mine and kept them insured over the winter. Not seen that you still have to do both etc.
