So going into B'ham yesterday following the nav, sun comes out drop the roof (987.2 S FYI) and the nav sudden goes haywire, puts me miles away from where I actually am... Then travelled to Bristol and today back home (NW) but the nav still thinks I'm wondering around near Dudley somewhere lol

Any ideas?

Try to reset, iirc press 148 at the same time.

Something almost identical happened to me recently. It was a broken GPS controller unit that had to be replaced.

(Mine left me in the middle of the English Channel!)

Cheers...

Hmmmm, I had my screen replaced on Good Friday (see my other thread) it's OE glass and the nav was working once replaced and up until the point I dropped the roof on Saturday, part of me thinks it's the screen/antenna more specifically the connection to the screen... Thoughts?

So as I understand it now there is a GPS module bolted within the engine bay, under the plastic cover where the wiper motor/linkage is, is this correct? I'm thinking that maybe when the screen was replaced they didn't connect the cable correctly... worth a punt?
