Hi, im thinking of doing some mods on my Cayman S 07 (pss9 suspension, carnewal decat, tb/plenum, softronic flash) at the end of this year but i am wondering about the impact on my insurance. Has anyone done anything similar and can let me know how it affected there insurance? Thanks

Well, i'd ring your current insurance before you go down that route to check they will insure a modified car full stop. There are companies out there such as Adrian Flux who somewhat specialise in modified cars; the difference is often not all too much.

Yes some companies will charge you the earth while others will hardly raise your premium at all. As already said, though, contact your current insurer before you do anything and gauge their response.

Done all those types of mods and more and it costs me nothing with A Plan Bletchley. I email them with details of each mod and they simply note it down.
