Pretty close, I'm in Crawley. Maybe a hook up some time?
Would be good to get involved in this! I live in Oxshott and often work in Leatherhead.I turned down my GT4 slot (silly, silly) after they originally said I wouldn't get one, then that changed later, when I'd already committed to other things.
So, still never been in one or really had a good look!
Cobham/ Surrey guys - I have started a thread here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
Any thoughts/ ideas about a get together, feel free to post 'em!

Not sure if this is completely obvious news from about 100 years ago but a friend showed me an email from Reading OPC stating there will be no more gen 1 GT4's built. so I assume a gen 2 will come about much like the gt3 imminent launch?
About a 101 years ago I think! Yes expect a new one next year.

I am surprised that the Tewksbury Club Sport car hasn't sold yet. Its a very good spec and one of the cheapest on the market.
The Blue Bolton one is also good value in my opinion and has a good spec.
yes the blue one in bolton is fantastic value ,and the owner is a thoroughly nice guy who looks after his cars extremely well The Blue Bolton one is also good value in my opinion and has a good spec.
I test drove a GT4 last weekend and was suitably impressed. With any luck I might be joining the GT4 gang very soon
I'm keen to get something with pretty much every optional extra in the right colour and can't see anything out there at the moment. (Blue, grey or red with Buckets, carbon interior, clubsport pack, sport chrono, grey wheels, contrasting stitching, phone, satnav are all a must)
I've seen 2 types of buckets - the 918 buckets and the folding buckets - I'm guessing these recline? In terms of desirability, is one type of bucket more desirable than the other? I've searched the web and not found a definitive answer.
As for brakes, do I need carbon ceramics for resale? I've always found them too "grabby" for road use, although the lack of brake dust would be a bonus.
I don't suppose any knows of any Voodoo blue cars coming up for sale anytime soon?
Any advise or pointers for cars that haven't gone up for sale yet gratefully appreciated.

"the 918 buckets and the folding buckets - I'm guessing these recline? In terms of desirability, is one type of bucket more desirable than the other"
They don't recline bad guess lol , the 918 look better and are the new lighter bucket with height adjust, the Folding sit higher up and have no adjustment.
the 918 look very trick and it is nice to be able to get them low, for me the folding are better on longer trips, but the GT4 looks the nuts with the fixed seats and I guess come resale more people will want the 918 style.
The PCCB thing is personal choice, they are not needed for resale even now on the new GT3 reviews it states if you want to track get steels !
The list of cars sold shows what sells, even CS is a slower seller than non CS, but the cage in the GT4 is a bit pants, cost a lot to add and just adds weight high up in the car which is the worse place to add it, Porsche keep going on about saving 1 KG on a mag roof on the RS then people fit a 15 KG cage !
the 911R has no cage nor was it an option. I for one did not spec it and as it not TUV race approved it seems a pointless thing in a road car.
As normal every thing is personal choice, so you will get a load of answers what is the right spec, but there is no right spec, just what you want.
For me PDSL 35W lights was a must have for others the cage and so it goes on.
