First off choose a colour you like and after that the must haves are in order of desirability LWBS,full leather and PCM. I would not pay a penny premium for Clubsport as i don't feel it adds anything unless you want harnesses but after owning a GT4 with pccbs would not buy a GT Porsche without them but that's a personal choice and pccbs seem to add £5k to the price.
The best value ones to buy now imo would be a full spec GT4 with pccb, clubsport,LWBS,leather, carbon trim,PCM etc which don't seem to be making much over list now imv.
My old guards GT4 is for sale at Cardiff OPC now with LWBS and pccb and was run in by the book and never revved hard from cold and a great spec if it suits you and never had a paint chip in the 18mths and 3430m whilst in my tenure.
Adam, I can vouch for John's car )Taffy66) as Cardiff. They one it now so he has nothing to gain in effect but its a lovely colour combinations and very well spec'd. Its also just been reduced from 94 to 90k.The best value ones to buy now imo would be a full spec GT4 with pccb, clubsport,LWBS,leather, carbon trim,PCM etc which don't seem to be making much over list now imv.

85k - 90k will buy you a great spec and a lovely car. As Ian says, you have choice at the moment, which is nice.
Even though some like comfort seats, some well spec's cars with them still command good money but the important ones to go for if you want to consider resale are leather pack and PCM without a doubt. Digital radio and phone can be retro fitted.

Yup, the lowest priced 8 on the locator all have a factoring reason as to why they're that cheap. Either no leather, no PCM, non buckets, dodgy interior colour panels, think one is red or indeed high miles as in 12 - 24k. I think those above 85k are better spec'd so the spread of decent spec'd cars is about 10k now from £85 - 95k.
Yep I think colour and miles are big factors but add no leather it becomes a sub £80k car. All the ones that hang around have no leather! White cars seem the most popular and only 2 for sale!Twinfan said:
They just blend into the background IMHO, just like silver, black and grey. Guards Red and Racing Yellow are the ones that "pop"!
White doesn't blend into the background?! Don't worry, I was having a light hearted joke with GT4P as we both own white ones. Colour is a very personal choice. My first one was red, I prefer the white one.

Exactly. No one can ever say what colours are right or wrong - some like vivid, some like subtle - it's purely personal.I've been following the GT3 Colour/Spec thread, and it's amazing how many posters try to impose their colour judgements on other people.
And, if I was buying a GT4, I would put spec before colour.
Just been looking for and have purchased a pre reg. delivery miles fiesta as a run around and even the colour I wanted was important but it limited my choice but ended up with a better spec. than what I needed and no it's not white !
IMO guards red is a lovely colour and I nearly went for it on my gt4 , but for some reason it's not a popular choice with modern Porsches, personally not a fan of blue/black GT cars best none white gt4 I have seen is birch green but has said colour is a personal choice

Popped into my supplying OPC who I purchased the GT4 from only 2 months ago for £86k.
Offered £75k in part exchange against a GTS.
That's pretty bad I thought.
I'm surprised the gap is not bigger. They have to take it in, probably service it and still make a profit (and pay VAT). Secondly it is August and the likelihood that it will sit longer in the inventory as in May when you bought is high, so i think that is pretty fair tbh. Offered £75k in part exchange against a GTS.

No OPC is going to offer above original list for a GT4 as the market has stagnated for now. I'm slightly perplexed why are you chopping in the GT4 after only two months...I had a GT4 for 18mths and 3.5k miles and p/xed to my dealer for a new GTS but only because i had a confirmed GT3 September build GT3 coming.Offered £75k in part exchange against a GTS.

The GT4 is an amazing car as is the new GTS however chalk and cheese in execution and character ime..

Disagree on the OPC offering more than list - demand and supply will dictate that The GT4 is an amazing car as is the new GTS however chalk and cheese in execution and character ime..
I need rear seats now and explored the option of trading in for a GTS/Turbo
Not greatly impressed, so will hang onto my GT4 and keep the E46 M3 as the daily
I thought a £10k loss in 8 weeks was a bit cheeky from them.

Imo its actually quite a daft way of running a business...losing a dead cert sale on a high margin £100k+ car for the sake of scrimping on the £2k extra on the GT4 they would need to offer you for a sale is a case of '' cutting one's nose off to spite his face'' or more probably resting on ones laurels..
Exactly, it doesn't make a huge amount of sense. Maybe they are low balling me thinking I'll counteract their offer but tbh I wasn't impressed by the GTS enough to let go of the GT4 Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
