This one is optimistically priced

Some of them have been specced oddly. Almost as if people kept the cost down knowing they were going to flip them, maybe they won't be so easy to sell and the dealers will mostly likely only take those on sale or return.

Has my post been illuminating, not really! I am one of the people who want one directly without paying the premium!

they are Ferrari specialists biggrin

Why do you think optimistic. DK Engineering know their stuff

Crappy seats and LHD plus 2k more than the JZM one which is RHD and has the right seats. 625 miles v 35. Not much of course but all points to it costing less not more

If someone called them and offered 95k I bet they would advise the owner take it as he should!

Currently 12 GT4's for sale on Piston Heads with 4 being added today!

To date only one looks to have sold via JZM, the other seem to be hanging around. Is this a sign that people aren't willing to pay the over inflated prices on these cars or people are just biding their time to see where the market goes when all of the cars have been delivered?

Also this has to be an eye opener to Porsche that a good number of the early cars that have been delivered to their favored customers are straight to re-sale? I'm surprised the 20-30k increase in price on these cars is enough to make people sell these cars especially given how rare they are and how good they seem to be!
Chappel Sports cars sold one Friday and sapphire one st jzm is already reserved apparently .

Have you seen this - https://youtu.be/ZUhKhQP4PBo

FWIW I'm not calling a "market crash" , I just think 50 % over list , when lots are for sale is somewhat toppie- this is where the GT3 market got to before it settled to where it is today . Great car , but £K 110 , seriously ....... ?

Not anymore daft than the RS being listed at £300k surely? That's 100% over list.

What else can you buy new though at £110 k that comes anywhere close to the GT4s abilities.........nothing. Whilst this is clearly no GT3, there is a huge difference in premium price between the GT3 at its peak of say £165k and the GT4 at £110k......lots more purchasers around with this sort of money buying a car which is essentially about the same as the GT3 and can give the same levels of thrills.

The JZM blue non clubsport selling in an hour would suggest it was under priced. Nice spec although Sapphire not the best imo.

I agree with a lot of what you say , but at £K110 , it's only people who can afford to take a massive depreciation risk that will do this - same with the 3 when it got to £K 160 / £K 180 - these cars are now £K 125/135 - that's a 20 % ish hit just down to timing - I think that will put a lot of people off . I am not saying the 4 isn't amazing value at list and isn't worth more than this - all I'm saying to folk is be careful - buy at this level if you are happy to live with the potential risk - it's a free country , people can do what they like - either way , hope everyone with one is thrilled to bits and enjoys them for what they're made for smile

It's not toppie really. It's market pricing. Cars, houses, schools. There is demand and the price is always just that little bit above the comfort zone most rational people would want to pay. Whoever buys it will always feel like they slightly overpaid but that's the nature of the game.

You can't blame Porsche dealers or the flippers really. It's the market for you. To be honest, if Porsche HQ thought it was an issue, they would have addressed it by now. For those who have bought it to own and drive, you are lucky! For those flipping it, fair game. For those who missed out, better luck next time. It's a waste of energy theorising and wishing people bad will. It doesn't achieve anything.

Agree Guards Red looks ace though....:-)

I think most people spending upwards of a £100k are prepared to take some risk in terms of depreciation.

But to me, buying cars such as say a 13 63 plate 911 turbo S or an Aston Vantage would present far greater risk for potential losses than a GT4 even with premium at around the £110k+mark. It really is a no brainer, and that is clearly why the market is so buoyant for these cars.

And there's me questioning whether buying at list price is a sensible move to avoid a potential hit of depreciation! However, not like my car is just around the corner, it is 7 months away!!!

This is probably a good thing - in about 5 months time (lock down ) you'll know a lot more and as such , you can make a better informed decision and either take the car or cancel - good luck either way smile

No it's not too cheap....merely that both cars are stupidly overpriced imo at those levels. Especially when you consider what can be bought for that kind of money as well in either case.
