I was lucky enough to be at PEC on tuesday and part of the day was a 10 minute passenger ride in a gt4 on the circuits . My driver was barry horne . Omg what a driver and what a car. Car control otherworldly!
I’ve been lucky enough to go out with Barry at the PEC in a GT4 . Yup, he can pedal that’s for sure.paralla said:
And I have separation anxiety already.
Since the day I collected it two years ago I thought my GT4 was pretty much the best sports car ever and expected it to be a keeper right up until the day I took an unexpected call from my OPC telling me I got a GT3 allocation at the eleventh hour.
I also went from a 981 Cayman S to the GT4. Feel-good factor with the GT4 is off the chart compared to the S. You are going to LOVE it.
Big boots to fill, i have a feeling a manual, Guards GT3 will manage it though.
Enjoy.
I still haven’t got the nod on a 991.2 GT3 allocation despite being assured I would likely get one (in PTS, no less).Since the day I collected it two years ago I thought my GT4 was pretty much the best sports car ever and expected it to be a keeper right up until the day I took an unexpected call from my OPC telling me I got a GT3 allocation at the eleventh hour.

The thing is, I will find it very hard to give up my Voodoo GT4 if/when it does happen. I may even pass.
A GT4 and £40k to spend on whatever else you want --- or a GT3 --- ?
I chose a Caterham CSR super light which I teased out of the garage for the first time yesterday.
If you think the steering in the GT4 is good, the CSR is telepathic ... and the sound .... OMG.
So, what would you spend your £40k on ??

Track days, tyres, etc, oh and a power upgrade to 420hpI chose a Caterham CSR super light which I teased out of the garage for the first time yesterday.

Reckon that it’s probably a visit to PARR motorsport, or Jens Ehresmann over in Germany, for me.... A lot cheaper than a swap into an RS, and can only improve on an already amazing machine...
And yes, that £100k could also add an Exige 380 Cup into the garage— if that raw, “full on” race-car experience is what I really need.... 2 amazing cars for the price of 1..... Seems a bit of a no brainer tbh....

I've already done everything other than the power upgrade.Manthey suspension upgrades, KW Clubsport 3 way dampers ... and I gratuitously exchanged the PCCB's for Surface Transform discs ... now done 7 track days and the pads are around a quarter worn. Incredible. The tyres now go off way before the brakes ... hence the minimal pad wear. If there is no GT4RS, the Ehresmann upgrade will be next ... but another question.
Would you modify your own engine or install an exchange / tuned engine ??

I hadn't considered installing an exchange engine, surely that is a much bigger job / cost? For me the known power upgrade option seems like a good shout. As some cars approach the end of warranty I suspect more will start to do this. Maybe there could be a group discount arrangement for multiple cars done by one supplier?

New member to the forum and apologies if I'm breaking any kind of rules.
There seems to be quite the range of prices for GT4's at the moment and after following the market for a bit not all of them seem justified for the spec/mileage, but if they're selling (a lot are not) I guess that's what the market is paying....
I'm looking for a high spec car with clubsport, PCCB etc, LWB's... does anyone know how much these are actually exchanging hands at via an OPC or not.

I bought one two months ago - exactly that spec at a similar price to that currently advertised for such spec - got a great trade in on the 997gt3 as well. There seems to be quite the range of prices for GT4's at the moment and after following the market for a bit not all of them seem justified for the spec/mileage, but if they're selling (a lot are not) I guess that's what the market is paying....

For a lowish mileage 2 year old 1 owner car most OPCs would bid around £4k under list atm.Very colour spec and mileage sensitive.
