Looks great Boxsey, congrats!

I picked mine up last Saturday, had to check in the garage Monday morning to make sure I hadn't woken up from a dream. Such a step up from my 981 Cayman S. It's rained for the past week, but it's meant to be nice tomorrow, so will hopefully get out on to some nice b roads :-)

I used the 981 Cayman S as a daily, I feel the GT4 is far too special for that, so need to get a second car. Thinking a Clio 182 in Racing Blue to sort of match biggrin

Looks gorgeous....

But it does also make a fab daily.... Just sayin’. wink

Just a note as its discussed often, I did 400 miles all day yesterday in mine. The LWFB 918 carbon seats were a joy - felt fresh as a daisy when I got out!

Million dollar question! If the new GT4/Spyder has a turbo I predict values will appreciate, or at least stay flat. If the new GT4/Spyder is NA I predict values may depreciate slightly, but not by much, both GT4/Spyder are still a hell of a desirable car!
The other million dollar question is whether I have any chance of actually getting a new one! Had my name in with local OPC for about two years against GT4 and/or Spyder. So given my preference is for new - wait it out or buy something second hand sooner?!

TBH— Unless you have an excellent “buying history” with your local OPC, chances of a new GT4/ Spyder allocation are slim.... Although there have been exceptions in the past.... wink

As someone has already mentioned, your best bet would be to buy a used 981 Spyder/GT4, and then use it as a part-ex against the newer model.... Still though— all depending on how many are produced— this alone would be far from guaranteeing you an allocation.... The allocation game is a long-winded one, often with much lost in the battle to win...!!

Anyone moving their GT4 on in the coming weeks/month, either privately or to an OPC?

PCCB, PCM, CS, LWB, not yellow.

Not a chance, can’t think of any good reason why a current GT4 would sell their car. ;-)

I agree re chances but I feel there's maybe more hence of Spyder V GT4.

I guess the other question is what the possible trade in value would be against a new car, I.e. How low would they likely bid for the car?

Looks good, the original owner obviously has great taste.

Amazing taste! you want to see the interior, it's just as insanely good as the outside!

Maybe, but not 100% sure though. The GT4 has just the right amount of power for the road and the GT3 perhaps has too much?

GT3 allocation did it for me, otherwise the GT4 was a keeper. If it turns out to be a mistake (I'm hopeful it wont be) and I'm filled with regret i'll be in a good position to part X the GT3 back to the OPC and get the next GT4.

Don't worry you won't want to go back to a GT4 after a gen 2 GT3.

^^^ Exactly— Mate of mine is a track-day fiend.... Is just about to swap back into a GT4 (nope— he’s not a “speculator” and has nowt to do with the “overs”).... He simply prefers the handling of the GT4, with its mid-engine layout and ability to corner as if “on rails”.... He also thinks it has more “driver feedback” and involvement....

Again, it’s simply each to their own on this one...

'right amount of power' is only relative to grip surely. The gt4 has rather a lot of grip, the power to grip ratio is for me definitely too low especially on the road (less of an issue on track). Subjective though I grant you.

He’s moving back into a GT4 from a Gen2 GT3— I was replying to the comments asserting that nobody would prefer a GT4 over a new GT3.... Not necessarily the case....
