Thanks for the comments chaps, it's not an OPC car. I've been told its had around 5/6 track days rest of Euro miles.

I really like it, but it would be the first car I've had with Ceramics so have no experience with them, hence asking on here. I don't think its had OPC Service History either, but has had the oil changed every 2.5K miles by Indy. Waiting to find out.
The OPCs have a measurement tool for wear on the ceramics and it's not afaik just by weight. Just get it checked for peace of mind if you need.

not worth the hassle if it's not had it's 1st OPC service and it's over 3years old !. You would never sell it on, so it would have to be very cheap to buy.

18k miles, odd marks on the PCCBS, no service history, no warranty, makes it worth about £45k !!!

As an example mate bought a 599, within 1 months it had £35k warranty work done !! new ccb and shocks all round ! car only had 15k miles on it.

Agree with D on this one. I'm guessing it must available for a very a low price for you to be considering it.

What has 'a mate's' 599 got to do with anything? very odd comments as usual.

If the mentioned GT4 hasn't had its first service done at an OPC, it raises a question but does not mean the car is worth £45k, laughable - as usual.

shows how much it is to change parts on high performance cars with PCCB's, it's very relevant to the OP question imo and the value of the GT4 in question.
you might think it's laughable, but an owner with no warranty, no OPC history for >3 years and having a £25k bill might not be laughing if it needs a full set of PCCB'S.
There would be no good will on this car which has avoided any OPC visits.

It was owned by an Indy from day one, they used it from what i can tell, then sold it to a private owner. Just waiting to see if the car has had an OPC service, i don't think it has but it has been over maintained. I guess to sell it on people would look for OPC stamps, Its not cheap either. lol.

They use this device, it has alignment points with specific measurements stamped on the bell that can then be checked to correctly ascertain wear:

Porsche are very good with good will if they look after the car.

Just buy a 996/7.1 GT3, then when you have kiddies, you can retrofit rear seats = win

The green one?

If it is, I seem to recall it was owned by a track magazine editor or something? It was £85k or thereabouts in August/Sept (RPM?).

Yeah it was owned by RPM first, then sold to EVO editor Nick Trott, then back with RPM for 85, now with Kaaimans for 79.

the RPM Green one had flaking paint where the bumper meets the body, it was peeling off.

That makes sense, but i just don't want on going maintenance costs on an older car if that makes sense? My 981 has cost nothing to run. I'd like that again.

Maintenance costs = option to upgrade parts costs without worrying about a warranty

Probably the most serviced GT4 in the country. And a terrific example with the spec it has.

That bloke earlier who said it’s worth £45k should only be posting under tight, adult supervision...

Whilst owned by RPM it had 3 track days in the UK (two of those were evenings), road trips to Spain and the South of France, Porsche Museum and a day at Spa. It was always maintained to the highest order and also had a new gearbox under Porsche warranty so most of the miles were European road trips. They'd be happy owning it again if in the market for one.
