My car went in to the OPC today for the intermediate service. I was really surprised there were no essential extra jobs needed and just an advise on an exhaust bracket. Total cost £465 so well pleased with that although it only does a couple of thousand miles a year, but it only needs doing every 2 years. Awesome car bow

That is god to hear. My last intermediate service close to 2 years ago was abut the same but that was an Indie so that seems good value you got for an OPC.
Is it every 2 years though as my next one, some 2 years on, is a major service I am told. Booked in for next week (along with looking this this potential alternator issue). I am similar miles to you per year, but yep I thought it was intermediate, then major repeat to fade.

Yes it is, I really meant 2 years or 20k miles between services, Mine had it's major service 2 years ago

You may want to check Mr Placek’s prices before you get too enthusiastic ...
I’ve been following him on Insta for a while, and whilst there’s no doubting the quality of his work (it’s some of the best I’ve seen) he sure knows how to charge.
Lol at that fellas pricing!! Obviously smoking crack, but still less crack that the folks buying from him.

smile from what I can tell though, his work does look another level above anything else I have seen….but then again, half of it could just be down to good photography.

Early morning pic in the sun, quick drive out before the Lycra-louts appear and then breakfast at a local cars n coffee meet.

Afternoon Fish n Chips at the coast scuppered by rain so back into the garage for more boot squeak/rattle chasing…
Love this little car!

Hi - I tried to email you but you need to enable the ‘private message’ function on your account. Otherwise you can find it on Autotrader, it’s still available.

A few runs for the R this past weekend. Friday night as part of a display which was put on for a charity event. Aberdeen's Marischal College makes for a pretty epic backdrop. Luke's Lotus almost made peridot look a bit subtle biglaugh

And on Saturday I had to decdie whether to go for a drive or a bike ride. I chose both biggrin

A peridot Cayman isn't the most subtle at the best of times, but stick a bright orange bike on the roof and you seem to get noticed!

So either you weren't going fast enough, or that thing knows how to hold on biglaugh

On a similar (sort of) vein, when I got back from the trip with the bike there were a pile of bugs splattered on the rear wing. I never get this normally so clearly the roof rack is significantly changing the airflow over the car.

I did actually hear that she ran a sub 7min ring lap (with traffic) in Pats van on her last DN day.

Royal Mail were less than impressed. biggrin

This is going waaaay off topic now. But if you haven't heard the Smith and Sniff episode where they dissect the goings on of Postman Pat and Thomas the Tank Engine, its gold! I was hurting from laughing!

And in searching that out Richards best ever John Peel "In Session"

That's it... as you were.
