Hi, has anyone fitted a lightweight flywheel to their Cayman R ? I would be interested to hear their thoughts, the pro’s and cons whether it enhanced the car or ruined it ? Would you recommend this modification or advise against it ? TIA and Merry Christmas !

All I can say is it makes a huge difference to the driving experience in terms of throttle response, in gear acceleration seems more urgent too and engine braking more noticeable. Car journalists report it gives the effect of more power! Little bit of chatter on idle but other than that no negatives at all.
If going to replace the clutch and flywheel I'd 100% go down that route!

Sounds a very positive endorsement, exactly what I’m looking for in my R, I’ve owned it for 6 years and just want to freshen up and enhance the way it drives, it’s not a daily so don’t mind a little more rawness and character in how it feels, sounds and drives, thanks Rb
