I'm surprised they haven't whipped the seats out of it given it's the less desirable PDK option. Perhaps they've run out of replacement comfort seats
I'm sorry but it sounds like FOMO, £60k for a Cayman R. But then you think of the last couple of 996 GT3 selling for £110k at JZM and maybe the market has moved.
For all people have been talking impending financial crisis due to word events the specialists seem to be able to push the Porsche market any way they want and the punters follow.

It is true. I am a party to that same information. Lets put it this way - going by the spec and mileage, £60K is cheap. Its a unicorn. Care to elaborate what a unicorn spec Cayman R is? Babw said:

Unicorn specification was originally considered to consist of the following : PCCB's, manual, carbon fibre buckets, PSE, Sports Chrono and an interesting/rare colour (ie not black, white or silver)The term is now applied to any car Jones the Cat (if it helps, and you want to look back in this thread, he formerly posted as Kitty Litter and prior to that julian987R) considers to be rare.
The Unicorn term was originally coined by PH'er and 987 R owner Mr Demon, who subsequently changed his username to GT4, 911R, Denny Hulme, amongst numerous others.

Happy with my non unicorn; PCCB, manual, buckets, sport shifter, PSE, Chrono in Platinum Silver. The term is now applied to any car Jones the Cat (if it helps, and you want to look back in this thread, he formerly posted as Kitty Litter and prior to that julian987R) considers to be rare.

The Peridot one has no A/C or PSE or Chrono clock
Yes buckets but high miles for the price and spec
Only my opinion of course.
I don't mind it not having Aircon, but lack of PSE is a shame. Still, i've made an enquiry... Mileage is fine, as I'll be using the car myself when weather is too inclement for the caterhamYes buckets but high miles for the price and spec

Yes agree about PSE i enquired also but as it will be an everyday car i need something low40s which gives me mileage to play with. With the spec mileage it needs to start with a 3
I had an R for few years buckets Man box Spyder wheels Chrono PSE A/C alcantara wheel.
A spec most consider the best.
But this time as it will get used more seeking a comfort less desirable in some peoples eyes of
Comfort seats PDK but must have Chrono PSE Spyder wheels A/C at the least .
Personally i believe that should start with a 3
JZM had a silver on for 38k with 34k on clock which i just missed out on by a hairs breath grrrŕ.
For everyday Silver is best not to atract attention
Might concider Peridot.
Will keep looking

Circa 10K miles, Peridot manual buckets and every option bar PCCBs.
Happy enough if that's where the market is going - mine is 14k miles and pretty much identical spec except Bose.

That's not unicorn spec. The R valuation God's won't forgive you for suggesting your car is. Reduce any sales figure you have in mind, by at least £30K, do not pass Go etc etc ...

I've not sat in the buckets yet, so unsure if I would get on with them, I can do without air con, chrono, but PSE and spider wheels are important.
