Even then what do you buy to replace it with? They drive great and look amazing, even in expensive company....
Glad to see you’ve put that Audi in it’s place I’m betting you’ve had as many positive comments as me over the last few weeks on colour choice? Were Ashwood right in that there’s only one Viper Green R in the country?
Looking at getting a Cayman R, has anyone seen the white one with Ashgood, mileage is quite high but price reflects this. Didn't know everyones thoughts on it? Never owned a Porsche previously so keen to be steered in the right direction! Was looking at Cayman S but that one fell into the price bracket. Wouldn't have an issue owning a high mileage BMW/Audi just didn't know the vibe on an R, would the value drop out of it once it hits 90/100k?

If you look back in this thread you'll see that some owners have been told they have high mileage cars because they're over 30k miles, so what is and isn't high mileage is very much personal. Whether you should be put off a high mileage example of a car like the R is again only something you can answer, but I suspect that answer would need to be based on what your intentions are. If you're looking to buy an R and keep it indefinitely, then the mileage is really of little consequence - you'll be saving a wad of cash on that car, and as long as it's mechanically sound, you'll be enjoying a great car for a very long time.
If, however, you're looking to buy the car and keep it for a year or so, then sell on, the mileage would undoubtedly be more of an issue, but you still would have saved the wad of cash when you bought it, so...
Prices for good Cayman R examples do seem to be rising, though, and even a high mileage example is likely to hold its value better than a Cayman S over time.
Just returned from a 40 mile blast for a pint of milk (don’t laugh, the record is 72 miles for milk before and I have a shop 2 miles from home!) and it’s a great reminder of what a phenomenal car the R is and how it has enough of everything to make it such an enjoyable, satisfying and delightful thing to drive. Perfect.......it’s pretty close!

Hi Josh.I looked at the Ashgood R today. It looks well looked after, the condition of bodywork is good and I'd say its had some new aircon rads very recently. The interior is in fairly good condition as well with only slight wear to the driver's seat stitching, the seatbelts and door pulls could do with a clean, something I'm sure Ashwood would do given their reputation. Unfortunately, this car made me realise that I need the carbon buckets and a manual. I still reckon the cars represents good value, even with the high mileage.
P.s Hi all, first post on the PH forums, (RS246 and Cliosport.net were some of my previous/current haunts). Having rented a 718 Cayman for the NC500 a few months ago I'm now hooked.
I met Ian964 at Brands Hatch a few weeks ago and after a couple of passenger laps, I'm now looking for a White manual R, with PSE, Chrono buckets, and aircon. Let me know if anyone is thinking of selling.
Cheers
