not sure 16k miles is a good point, I did over 40k in my R's these are cars to be used and fun to drive, having a low miles car in the garage is, well a shame. 2k PA ! the others less than 1.5k PA use !

Then at £50k the values in the miles so buy at £50k and use it you loose £10k !

shame some of these cars end up garage queens ;-( due to values.
Made this exact same comment on a GT3 4.0 @ JZM with only 300 miles on it!

Granted a 300 mile 4.0 is a different league of mothballing, but in that instance, the car is dead.
The entire value of that car is then in its milage, so who in their right mind would pay the premium for a "museum piece" car and then lose all of that premium by driving it? Nobody short of a Euromillions winner id guess.

That car they may aswell bolt to the friggen wall!

I dont think Traceys car is in that danger, but certainly i would just use the damn thing. In reality, the diffence between a 60k Cayman R and a 15k car might be what? £10k max providing its in great condition?
You'll loose more than that within 3 years buying a new Fiesta, leave alone a more premium vehicle.

Last year a black 997 GT3 came up for sale at circa £60k, it had done 150,000 miles!!
That car was about £25k cheaper than the comparable 50k mile examples.

£25k is an absolute bargain in my opinion for another 100,000 smiles in a GT3 smile

Granted not used for everyday use but certainly used this year alone Porsche events and Wales and Holland Porsche parade so has seen some use always used on long runs and serviced on time.
Never used in winter hence it's condition not knocking how people use there cars it's up to the person .
People make there choice in buying regardless or mileage and spec but as we all know spec mileage plays a part in prices.
There's a car for everyone.

Ps forgot to say my everyday is a 981 with 30k on it hence leaving the C/R for special drives.

Enjoy.

At present I wouldn't sell our CR for any less than £49 995
It's absolutely mint concours condition with only 16 k mileage very pampered car.
Peridot green black spyder wheels man box carbon buckets chrono sports exhaust air con alcantara wheel probably one or two other small extras so kept nice and light Lol
As been said above what's as good in the Porsche range at this price .
I believe they are excellent value and make a great drivers road cars maybe occasional track.
Hard to find good ones with a nice spec even harder finding lower milers.
Those who have them or owned them know how good they are once you spend time in the seat.
If you can't run to 80 k maybe more nothing else comes to mind in Porsches.
Enjoy your C/Rs

I owned my 6 CRs all at the same time, probably the best thing about having 6 of them is that I spread the mileage increase across them all as I regularly used them on trips between London and Leicester.

May be a little late to the party here, but why would you own 6 of the same car at the same time?

This was £49.5k yesterday. Must want a quick sale to have dropped £2.5k.

Though it looks like no aircon despite my earlier observation. Good car for someone, just needs a good inspection first...

WOW - That's a sign of someone who is desperate to sell he car! Dropped the price from £49,500 to £45,995 and as a private seller someone will no doubt want to shave another £x off the final price. Looks like a deal is to be had on that car!

More like well over priced for a private sale in the first place. Now more realistically priced but still on the optimistic side for a private sale IMO.

Probably not, yours had <17k miles and Cup 2s when it was up at Harbour Cars in January, unless they've had 9 months of driving it everywhere...

It's not my old one, mine was a 2012 - it just looks like it.

And this lovely thing has just appeared...

Looks almost perfect, if a little strong compared to the market...

Way too strong for a private sale. It's a nice car but the grey one at Autologix has similar mileage and is around £1k cheaper. And I think even that is strong money. Still hopefully, the buyer is lucky and finds somebody willing to pay top money for it.

Hi team,

Sadly my 987 days are over and so clearing out the garage.

I have an official Porsche Cayman roof rack...

And a set of unmarked 987 Cayman S II 18" rims.

Please PM me if interested.

Rims are handy for the track - more progressive handling on the limit with 18s (IMHO) and saves money on track day tyres versus 19s...

Or run your R through the bitter months on winter tyres...

Or put some N rated tyres on the 18s (cheaper than 19s) to see your OPC for warranty renewal and put whatever your want on your 19s.

Etc. etc.

Cheers

Thinking about getting rid of my number plate. C4YMR. What do you think I should ask for it? Don’t really need to sell it and obviously it would be good to have if I buy another R (which I might) thoughts?
