Budflicker ,
Stunning photos , nice to see an R being used , spent more time polishing mine than driving it , though i did rectify this by selling it to Gary ( freedman ) who has already been spotted using it on track!!
Thought the R in peridot was/is stunning , but that Viper is something else ( and unique , obviously ).
I've got a Spyder now , promised myself a Euro tour next year , your pictures have just hardened my resolve.

Just done a buy and joining the club as of Thursday
Preference had been on manual over PDK, but having driven of it and with the rest of the spec at the price I bagged it for, I decided I didn't mind it all that much.
Will get the front bumper/bonnet resprayed - it's been done but not overly well. But - perfect opportunity to respray them and PPF the front end. Will take a few months to drive it first though

Agree they look the business in guards red.
Interestingly im sure i caught sight of a guards red Cayman R on a driveway in Ulting/Hatfield Peveral last weekend. Although it appeared to have standard Boxter wheels on?
It was a full aerokit car with black accents and badged as a Cayman R.
Anyone know it?

Congrats! Was that the one at RPM? If it was, been watching that myself. Sounds like you got yourself a bargain. Would you mind me asking if the haggle was significant? PM me if you`d rather not shout it loud. Cheers

Yes bud it was, I managed to get £4.5k off asking. Figured it'd been there a fair while based on the AutoTrader ad ID, can't see anything other than the bonnet/bumper shoddy repaint that'd put people off, but I'll sort that out.. Interior etc was the best condition of the ones I'd seen.Off topic slightly but felt some of you guys/girls may be interested in this. ( You may already know of this product)
My R has PCM3 with the Porsche iPod connection in the armrest, as you know, this connection is the old Apple 30 pin connection, and is not compatable with the lightning jack that modern iPhones use.
It always bugged me that the PCM would use bluetooth for phonecalls but would not stream music.
I did for a while use Apples own 30 pin to lightning adapter cable. however these were £25 a pop and ive gone through 2 now, as they fail quite prematurely. Now these cables are £50 a piece and i wasn't prepared to buy another for it too to fail again.
So i was on the hunt for another solution and after a fair bit of googling and searching over on the US forums, Rennlist etc i was reccommended the Bovee1000. I had previously tried cheaper bluetooth modules, however they have a flaw. Yes they will stream music to the apple connection, however they also interfere with the vehicles own bluetooth when a call comes in. This is because the call is trying to be sent to the headunit by the vehicles own bluetooth in the PCM and the adapter in the armrest.
The Bovee combats this as it only streams music and leaves the vehicles PCM to manage the phone calls. They seamlessly connect/swap duty with each other between music and calls when a call comes in. The Bovee also allows you to have full track listings on the PCM exactly as if it were plugged into the vehicle cable.
The beauty of this is now the phone connects to the vehicle wirelessly for both phone and music streaming and its all appears and responds completely as if it were OEM.
Its a bit spendy for an adapter, but much cheaper than replacing the PCM and allows the car to remain completely OEM in appearance while the adapeter just stays in the arm rest
