About to migrate for a 4 seater soon, will be super sad to have to sell my 2012 CR PDK with just 17,500 miles. Near perfect with Spyder wheels in Platinum silver and Porsche warranty till April 2021.
Will be putting this up for sale later this week - what would be a fair price folks?
it's more luck than price atm on that model/spec. Ring 911V and get a price is your best bet.

£36k maybe.
He told me before they'd only be interested in manual R's - although he may have had the hump because I bought my PDK R elsewhere & didn't take the 997 C2S from him.

Okay so I’m at a point where I’m going to refinish the Rs wheels.

Do I play safe and stick with the OEM Cayman R gloss silver?
Porsche satin aluminium ala GT3RS/911R?
Be daring and go Weiss gold?

Thoughts? smile

I kinda like the gold - I reckon it'd really grow on you. Get one side done and then decide on the other side after!!

These satin finishes really modernize the older cars. Had these put on my 987 and it freshens it up no end! Lepsons do a cracking job and don’t use acid to strip the old paint off.

I think it will go so well with the peridot.

The gloss of the car body should be the main focus point and the satin reflects just enough to accentuate the design of the wheel. Never been a fan of Matt paints or wheels personally.

I had satin black BBS wheels on a past car - they were awesome and so easy to clean. It was like they were coated in Teflon.

At the risk of sounding negative I go for the original look. I much prefer the originality of the gloss black wheels with the silver inner side. If I ever had to have mine refurbed I'd have them done exactly the same. I think the CR has a unique identity and when you change wheel colours or remove the side stripes etc it steals that identity away.

Mine were/are silver originally.
Just bouncing some ideas about, but I’m limited as to what I can do against the bright green body.
I don’t like black wheels on the green so it’s silver or something else.

Be it gloss or satin finish silver I guess.

I don't think the difference between gloss or satin in the silver takes too much away and I agree they do suit the Peridot better than black

Does your view differ if the calipers are yellow rather than red? I do like the contrast between the black and yellow.

Yes I’ll agree the black/yellow PCCBs do look nice.
Personally I think the black only really suits the white cars. But on everything else I prefer the bright wheels.

Sorry for taking up so much time talking wheel finishes and colour combos. But I guess it’s a break from the usual talking residual values for a change. Haha.

Satin silver. Just do it you won’t regret it.

When I picked up my Spyder rims with the gloss black and silver lip it just looked a little chav.

The satin just adds a touch of class!
