I'm doubtful (I certainly didn't) as the standard fit LSD will be all but ineffectual once the car has been subjected to the factory's end of production line shakedown on the rolling road ... biggrin

So whilst on the face of it the factory (for which read the tossers in the marketing dept) smash made much of the fact the Cayman finally had a "911 equalling LSD", what they fitted was actually about as much use as chocolate tea pot rolleyes

I can definitely feel it working (not only in the corners) versus my S I was also holding alongside it for a few weeks.

Mines a one owner with a VERY easy life.

No, I wasn't kidding. I've heard of similar (expensive) tales with 996 GT3's on track yikes

A good spanking (maybe 2) on track should see it off Andy. Whilst I'm sure an LSD in the Cayman is beneficial under high speed braking, they're less beneficial than in a 911. Whilst for traction out of corners, they're probably more so than when fitted in a 911.

Question - is there a way to turn off the screen but keep the music on?

Holding down the left knob turns both off. Kinda annoying driving at night with that screen on

A bit of digging shows reviews at the time mentioned it. Your LSD's must be done in. I can definitely feel it.

I have a 987.2 S and after having a Wavetrac fitted this is definitely something I noticed initially.

I had the geometry adjusted to counteract this which helps.

Hi - can you remember what was done?

The R runs different suspension and more negative camber than an S stock so not comparing like for like.

I am not too worried about it and just wanted to know if it's normal and from my research it is (when the LSD is actually working)

How much do you think it should be up for?

Will update the service details.

Thanks for the feedback.

Apparently we're mad buying R's as according to William Crawford this gen 1 'Unicorn' is nearly as good. And it's only done 1600 miles in 8 years so bet it runs like a charm...

I have been following the R market closely and would not have ruled out pdk (although it appears most buying this sort of almost modern classic prefer manual) although have now deposited on a GTS 4.0.

I spotted your R and it looks nice and it has a good spec but I thought was overpriced for the mileage and PDK box (they tend to sit around) Did you drop the price quite quickly after initially listing?

I presume the usual trade suspects have been ringing you up? You’d be doing well to get a couple of grand over what the likes of Ashgood would offer I would think.

I don’t think the car is worth over £35k as a private sale in the current market and maybe more like £32/33k for a quick sale to the trade.

Not that many people in a position / willing to pay £35-40k for this type of thing and it is quite a niche market so it may just take time regardless of price unless you go the trade route.

Note this is all just by opinion - best of luck with your sale.

Lovely. Looks brand new! It is pricey by comparison. 3/4 months ago I bought my R with approx 20k less miles than yours, manual and specced to the hilt, for just £1k more than yours.
If we compare your PDK to AutoStores, which has far less miles and comes with Porsche Warranty, and is £2k less, I’d price yours around £31k but be prepared to wait at least 3 to 6 months as PDK R’s sit around for ages, coupled with the time of year now might make a difference. Good luck with your sale.

I have seen a few with those bits colour coordinated. Must have been an option at the time. Would look good on your white R

Factory CXX. Painted insert on the folding buckets. Slightly obscure in the list of things to specify. These sort of options tend to show up in dealer spec'd cars in my experience.

I paid £32k private for same color/spec as your except manual and no rear wiper. It only had 6k more miles on it.

It had no Chrono but that's only £600 to add at OPC.
