Meanwhile, possibly the best spec R in the country has been reserved within days of getting to the dealer. This was the other Aberdeen peridot R. I've gone from having 1 of 4 here to 1 of 1.

https://www.cameronsportscars.com/vehicle-details/...

When an R with a spec like this is in the 40s, it makes north of 50 for a much weaker spec one look a bit daft, even if it is low miles.

Hopefully whoever buys this car joins the thread, I know it has been well looked after by its current owner and is a fantastic example!
Im pretty sure i know the chap that has bought this, if so, its coming down south. smile

I'm surprised a few dealers didn't infiltrate the 10th anniversary meet up and mingle whilst dropping in the one liner ..."you thinking of selling?"

Hi guys. Thanks for your comments; I’m the lucky new owner of what looks like a cracker. It most certainly is heading South; I’m in Dorset so couldn’t have travelled much further on our shores.

Shame to not have been able to travel to what looked like an amazing birthday meet yesterday; well done!

Looking forward to hopefully meeting up somewhere and I’m planning on clocking up plenty of miles in a car I have been hankering after for a very long time; feels like Christmas is just around the corner for me!

Roll on summer.

Cheers Rich & congrats on your recent purchase too.

As you say, the Cameron team have been great. Couldn’t be happier.

Good job whoever boxed that off. I found the guys at Cameron great when I got my white one a few months back which is also good peace of mind

Wonder how many were scrapping it out I think they could have sold mine 3/4 times over. Sure it would have been the same on this one or even more so due to spec.

I am surprised that wasn't north of £50K, seems a hell of a deal.

Especially when compared to this that went at £2K less...

https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/11547299

...yet the Peridot has far higher spec than £2k's worth.

Congratulations to the new owner. But am I right in thinking that to replace the Ceramics, when the time comes, it is like £8K or so?

Because the dealer wanted to sell it and not look at it for months hoping for someone to pay over the odds. The market is super hot and dealers want to shift stock into it. May not be the same in the autumn...

you make me smile smile whats to say £50K+ is over the odds.
If that dealer is living and dying by needing to rapidly move cars at that speed (within 48hrs) then their business model is a bit screwed.

It's worked for Ashgoods. Time is money in business and you need to get buyers when they are hot as these are partially emotive purchases. It's the 80/20 rule - if you have to spend 80% more time to get another 20% profit then is it worth it?

If you price it too high, the car sits and then start having to reduce the price which is dangerous. Buyers will either sit on their hands or go in for the kill.

Check out Ashgoods £50k Spyder that's been sitting a month now?...I think they have got that one 'wrong'

Asking £50k+ is one thing, actually getting it is another. Let's see when those cars actually sell... not that we will know how much less the dealer eventually accepts.

My car is £83,999 if anyone is interested. And because Frayz and I are asking in the 80s, they definitely must be worth that wink

Congratualtions man. It is a fantastic car that one. I actually said to the guy who had it before that if I'd known he was selling I'd have tried to buy it myself and would have sold mine. The spec is mega.

Here it is with my car last summer.

You’re going to undercut me by £1000, you’re cheapening the market Paul!
Don’t you know we are supposed to be relentlessly talking the values up?! wink
