I lived with white wheels on my Cossie, never again! bd to keep clean and even then they stain quite badly. Would probably work okay on a PCCB equipped car though.

Paul, im sure at some point we will put Mogmex gold wheels on mine.;)

Personally, I think white wheels on a CR would utterly naff, but Mogmex's gold wheels look the mutts nuts :

Im agree, im fortunate enough to see this car pretty regularly and to me its one of the best looking Rs out there. My favourite being Joe Robles (Sernty1).

Agreed, but Sernty's BBS wheels whilst looking utterly cool, aren't actually that light compared with a decent modern flow formed one piece wheel these days, and they come with a host of upkeep/maintenance issues if used in our typical UK weather ...
Having had the E88's on the 996 GT3, and stunning looking though they were, I don't think I'd want them fitted to any car I may own in the future.

Ref the recent Cayman R on Copart.. whilst we have the owner on here so had the intel on the car etc, I have just been looking at the Copart Victims Facebook page

It’s unbelievable!

Parts nicked
Cars sold as unrecorded which aren’t
Shill bidding
“Car runs” is generally complete BS
Etc etc

They move the cars around their compounds using a forklift so there is often damage underneath

Lastly a few days ago one of their transporters full of cars set alight after the driver *allegedly* drilled the fuel tanks to “remove” the petrol…

All allegedly. Am sure they are in fact a fine and upstanding company

Caveat emptor to the power of 10

Has anyone ever seen a CR in white with white wheels?

Was just looking at this JZM RS and thinking how good it looks. Same wheels aren’t they (but centre lock)

Co-incidentally I was looking through Cayman R vids on YouTube last night and spotted this one which had a white CR with white wheels! You can see it at around the 2m 15s point in the video.

That rather confirms my worst suspicions, as to my eyes, it does indeed look utterly naff.

i think white on white works well on aggressive looking cars. unfortunately the cayman R doesn't look aggressive. Looks great on the 911 RS's

You're not alone in that idea.... who's brave enough to do it?!

Considering I have no use for their intended connectivity, could my Homelink buttons be wired to do something else, and if so, any thoughts as to what?

I’d love that……not brave enough (or have the £‘s) to do it.

I'm def brave enough and I think theres a strong argument for it protecting the original paint

the ££ though is madness...10pc of the value of the car in the case of a Cayman R... so just not sensible.

I had a Defender once in Keswick Green (more grey than green) and have always loved that colour but think it would have to be a Porsche colour...sort of like a fake PTS Cayman R if you like
