The opacity of the fees to the buyer is the issue in my mind. I looked at auctions on here previously and just couldn't find it detailed - hence didn't bother bidding.

I've been told for this car the fees are about £1800 to the buyer.

Yup.... I've put a £46,000 bid in and got notified of £1775 which is 3.85%.
I don't know if these fees slide or are fixed.

Which is cheaper than the Collecting Cars 6%.

Google search says PH fees are 6% plus the dreaded.

They take 6% fees from the seller as well don't forget - and then an unclear amount from the buyer.

Bizarre to see people showing their hand so early in an auction. Why would they do that?

I think it will be be won with a few strong late bids coming in. Won't be in the slightest surprised if it's some way north of £50k, not so many around with that sort of mileage, condition and originality.

I can't see Mac**** folding over a £1 difference. Seems like its a two horse race on the bidding.
I foresee it reaching 47K

I wonder if that originally had buckets - that seems to be the modus operandi
