Hi Pinball, I double checked about the washers, when you select the Bi-Xenon Black PDSL you don't get washers at all, strange! Spoke to my salesman today and he said the lights are the same spec as the normal PDSL Xenon's.

Hadn't thought about the cubby hole, I'll get that cover added!
I don't think that's right. If you go on the 3D configurator and select those lights you get the washers. I'm getting the normal PDLS and they definitely have the washers. The standard lights aren't full fat xenons so don't have washers but as far as I know it's a legal requirement to have washers on proper xenon lights.
Oh that's annoying, I kinda prefer the flush look it shows without them on the 2D configurator! I haven't tried the 3D yet, I'll check that out, thanks!

Hi all
Collected my base Cayman today after ordering in June ! Then swapped OPC in October as allocations are crazy
Anyway got my night blue 2.0 today with turbo wheels and crayon seats ..... Well .... Wow
I was very annoyed with the wait and the VED increase but my OPC helped on that
The long and short of it is what a car !!!
Looks absolutely stunning and the noise ! Well I've not had a Porsche before, read all the experts reviews saying the car sounds rubbish like an old beetle and have played the you tubes comparing the 718 Cayman with the 987 and watched top gear knock it . All I can say and I'm not just saying this ..... Is it sounds great . There is no way it sounds like a beetle and when idling in traffic etc it sounds like a thoroughbred Porsche ,nothing less . My brother has been in many Porsches and said it sounds great ... Just like a Porsche .Im delighted with the sound ... It just doesn't sound like all the negative recordings that have bee knocking about on various web sites

Congrats Anders, that looks absolutely superb. Very different from my choice of colours and wheels, but I have to say that is incredibly classy looking!

Was at PEC last week having my second "play", and was in a base Cayman for the whole afternoon. The moment I turned the key I just giggled. What are they on about? The sound has really grown on me over the last 9 months or so since I first drove a 718 and 718S. There is absolutely nothing about these cars that I don't like, except maybe how long we have to wait for them.

Thanks guys ... love the inky blue/ black colour
I agree with you as I said earlier Liam , it sounds fine .....it's more a case I think that the reviewers couldn't find anything to write about .....the car was better than the 987 but not by much so like sheep they all "agreed" the engine was a massive minus
Your car is due soon Liam .... sorry I've forgotten what you went for in the end spec wise ....they do like to keep you waiting ! Not long now I hope

Anders, Congratulations your car looks stunning, night blue + crayon interior, would have been my choice but in the end went for the grey look !
I agree about the sound of the car, sounds great on start up, & when you put your foot down the car sounds really sporty from the driving seat.
It's a pleasure to drive,(smiling all the time) by far the best handling, best looking car I've ever owned, it's insured to the hilt, gap, tyre (recommend as £250ea fitted @ OPC), alloys, scratch/dent, also Porsche assistance so have no worries.
Also purchased car cover - excellent investment, keeps the birds muck off & protects against UV

Enjoy & keep smiling.................

I think it's the window trim that's doing that, looks fantastic Anders!
