718 Cayman Spec & Colours- what have you gone for?
Discussion
Don't have to lock my spec for a couple of weeks but other than 2 things (colour and PCCB). I'm going for the following
Only a couple of options if the wife asked lol.
Graphite blue
Carrera White
Black leather interior AZ
Sports bucket seats P03
Cruise control 454
GT sport steering wheel 858
Heather multi function steering wheel 489
Smocking package 583
Guards red belts XSX
BOSE sound system 9VL
LED PDSL Plus lights 602
Park Assist 635
Folding Mirrors 748
Fuel filler aluminium finish XYB
PDK 250
Sports Suspension -20mm PASM 030
PTV Locking rear diff 220
Sports Chrono QR5
Sports exhaust in black XLX
20 inch Carrera sport wheels XRD
Wheels painted in high gloss black XDG
Car will do a few track days a year so been advised against the PCCB but will decide after my day at the Porsche Centre day at silverstone

If you get to try PCCB at PEC, you are going to want them. Unbelievably sharp and difficult to fade. Would have pushed my spec to a place a I wasn't willing to go, and evidently expensive to maintain if you do track days, but ridiculously good. I could cheerfully have put another £15k into the spec of the 718 I eventually bought on the basis of things that I really liked. In the end just stripped it down to things I felt I needed (mainly ).

I had a Boxster S equipped with PCCB's as a loan car over the bank holiday weekend....yes they are brilliant but I think they're overkill on a 718. 10% of the cars value which is too much to spend on a single option IMHO.
Also if you are doing track work you really need to look after them and are not the option of choice if you want to track your GT3 because if not looked after are ruinously expensive to replace.

Totally agree. Those 2 points are why I've removed them from my original spec. Also the current 718 S brakes are a step over the old Cayman S units as they come from the 911Also if you are doing track work you really need to look after them and are not the option of choice if you want to track your GT3 because if not looked after are ruinously expensive to replace.
I remember ages back in this thread somewhere there was some discussion about what sapphire blue looks like with standard silver wheels (as opposed to platinum or black which seem to be more popular choices these days), well here's a pic for anyone who needs some help visually.....

Ikonic... thanks for the share.
I'm having a dilemma to opt for platinum or silver Carrera S wheels. However I'm going for agate, but I'm coming to the conclusion the wheels look so much bigger in silver, and balance better with the car. That said when I see platinum in the flesh I swing back towards them. Coloured centre caps are a most for me though. Just like yours

I have agate & chose 20" Carrera S in platinum, main reason was so that the brake dust does not show as much as lighter wheels. They look good with the coloured Porsche Logo, I'm having a dilemma to opt for platinum or silver Carrera S wheels. Umbrella and a model seems the usual for last few we've had.
My father got some polo shirts a while back.
I've heard of friends who've received diddly squat however form the same OPC (albeit different sales exec) so I don't think its a definite. You definitely should get a full tank of fuel mind as that's mandated by Porsche if I remember correctly.
