Picking my 718 up Saturday after placing my order back end of November - anyway anyone manage to get any freebies on collection day?
Fancy presentation case with a photo of my car in a frame, and some Porsche key rings in it.A Porsche paperweight with my name and chassis number on it arrived in the post about 2months after I collected my 718.
I'd 'negotiated' a Porsche jacket in my deal but my Sales bloke had to withdraw it at collection as he'd apparently got in bother for giving me a discount!

Umbrella and a model seems the usual for last few we've had.
My father got some polo shirts a while back.
I've heard of friends who've received diddly squat however form the same OPC (albeit different sales exec) so I don't think its a definite. You definitely should get a full tank of fuel mind as that's mandated by Porsche if I remember correctly.
I got some espresso mugs. I think some dealers do this as a token of good will and cant complain (I always assumed it was the dealer rather than the exec but I could be wrong).Umbrella and a model seems the usual for last few we've had.

I've been promised some goodies but no discount. The salesperson peddled the usual guff about how Porsche don't discount and they'd lose their franchise yada, yada. I should have walked and went elsewhere until I got a more palatable deal. I didn't and signed on the spot which is something I don't normally do but this is my first Porsche.
I had the same kind of choice Si. Mine was due mid-Feb. I told them to hold off until after March 1st to get the 17 plate. Was a moot point in the end as other delivery delays put it off until 20th March.
For the sake of 12 days I would certainly say hold off to get the '67 plate. It does make a difference come resale.

I've been told my Cayman will be with my OPC on or before 18th August ... can anybody talk me into waiting until the 1st of September to take delivery?! Does it really make much of a difference come resale/trade in? My car will be going straight onto a private plate.
I'm very similar but out the country 13 Aug - 31st so don't have to face that dilemma The spec I went for was pretty simple:
20" Carrera S wheels
Heated seats
Smoking package (cleans up the centre console nicely)
Red seat belts
Connect
Wheels in satin black
Sports exhaust with black tips
Heated multi function steering wheel
Cruise control
Park assist rear
Sports Chrono pack with switch
PDK gearbox
Model designation on the doors
The only thing I changed my mind on in the end was the addition of the PDK gearbox, after a week with the car I'm really glad I did, for me it makes the car more usable, especially after sitting on the M25 for an hour and with the Sports Chrono package pretty quick.
The biggest surprise has been the fuel economy, looks extremely good so far.
