Thanks all.

Is Porsche Assistance any better than standard RAC/AA?

I personally found the European cover handy but I'm sure the AA/RAC probably do a similar thing for a lower price..

If the car breaks down and gets recovered Porsche Assistance will provide you with a car from Enterprise. No questions asked.

thanks - I'll probably not bother with the Porsche Assistance as I've already got pretty good cover from RAC for the Defender and I won't need a replacement car.

The one time I used it for a dead battery, it was the AA that showed up as "Porsche Assistance", so I would guess the difference is as to what is included in the overall package (euro cover etc) rather than a comparison on the quality of the service.

Here are the last prices I had, roadside is usually additional I think:

111 point check - £252.00 Inc. VAT

12 months Porsche Approved Warranty - £660.00
24 months Porsche Approved Warranty - £1,190.00

12 months Porsche Assistance - £175.00
24 months Porsche Assistance - £285.00
Can I ask what OPC this was from? Seems cheap.

Which model are we talking about? M local PC tells me that the cost varies with the model.

You can add all those things into the AA anyway, isnt the Porsche assistance AA? The recovery vehicle is still the same.
