I had one - great car but didn't love it on road. It was too fast, too capable and not interactive enough. But I am a Lotus/Caterham man at heart so ended up selling and keeping the Elise.

Some dealer adverts are still at over 100k. What the point!

Sound like new GT4 out late next year so I'll wait till then although at list price GT4 cracking buy
I'm sure the low mileage ones with a half tidy specs will start selling once they hit back to list. Far to many advertised for sale at the mo to jump in still falling slowly in price month by month.

If they do I might sell the gts and try one.

Bought mine back in May with 8k on the clock.

Since then it's been down to Le Mans, and just got back from a damn good thrashing around the Alps & Dolomites last week. Another 4-5k on the mileage now.....but who's counting!!! The car is meant to be driven! It's not an investment.

Gets used all the time, though it isn't my daily which means I can keep it reserved for 'fun' driving only.

Sold out of a 458 to jump into this car. As nice as the Ferrari was, I found myself hardly getting to use it's power anywhere and wondering what is the point of having all that power if you can't use it! It made a lovely noise, but the times you actually got to stretch it out to 8-9k rpm were so infrequent. I'm now firmly in the camp that thinks a lot of the supercars are too powerful for the road (certainly UK roads) and you hardly get to use it anywhere. And when you do it's for such short bursts only! The paddles got boring quickly, and found myself missing the involvement of a manual. Even at slow speeds you feel involved in the drive with a manual (all IMO of course).

The GT4 has enough power to be quick and exploitable without being in the realms of lightspeed! This means you enjoy more of the car, more often than you could with something twice it's power. The feedback you get through the steering wheel is a lot more responsive than the 458. But this is something that Porsche GT cars get so right that few of the competition do! And the grip the car has is absolutely ridiculous that you'll never reach anywhere near its limits driving on the road (unless you're being a lunatic!).

With manuals becoming rarer on the road, I'm struggling to see any decent replacements for this car in the near future! Simply put, it's the most fun car I've owned.

If you see me driving give me a wave. It's hard to miss.....it's the one wrapped in the 911 RSR livery from this years WEC.

Oh I'm sure they will .

I sold my GT4 in November last year with 7,500 miles 918 buckets PCM full carbon pack alcantara pack phone prep and some other bits and bobs for just under 79k . List was 74.

I had the usual raft of idiots bidding me under list but back then the car was always going to sell for overs . It wasn't the most straight forward sale though , I got messed around a lot and took a few weeks before it went .

Picked up mine on Monday. Wanted one from new but had deposit returned from local dealer. Paid overs but it is basically an ‘as new’ car that someone had run in for me. Nothing out there for the money anyway so don’t mind. Love it.

Loving mine.... if you want a well spec'd GT4 via an OPC at the moment you have a choice of 19 cars. Amazingly, nearly all are what you might call incorrectly spec'd. What we're people thinking?!

What’s correctly spec’d for a GT4?

There is no one-size-fits-all correct spec, only what spec is correct for you smile

Worth remembering a lot of them sell before they're even advertised - to folks who've asked a salesman to look out for one coming in a certain spec. I'd say, almost inevitably, the ones that hang around on the locator are either going to be a trickier to sell spec or too strongly priced.

It's cool to spec it for yourself rather than for resale... what I don't understand is folks spec-ing for themselves and then not putting any miles on it!

Edit - I see there is a two owner car up on the locator with 23k miles!! Fair play, that's the most I've seen on one smile

Bloody hell Chris, that's some serious g you're pulling. Where were you and if it had been warm could you have got more? Just need to improve the breathing and get a map to release 430 bhp and it will be perfect.

This is a ridiculous state of affairs....... people should be allowed to make money on these great cars that are underpriced on day 1...... smile

it's awesome that speculators are moving out and a new market is developing. hope that the cars get tracked more. That's where it shines.....

There are no speculators in the market now.... The GT4 has plateued in terms of price so no room for profits and has been tis way for ages. The only 'speculators' still in the market are long term owners of cars that bought new in which case they're crap at speculating because they've missed the boat but they're enjoying one of the best sports cars ever made.

Welcome news for us owners that actually use their cars, as intended, now without concern for market values.
Lets just get back to driving, experiences and enjoyment.

Donnington in July ... I had Howard Hunt in the car giving me some tuition. It works !!

Tyres came up to 33 all around and needed 10 psi all around to bring them back to 30 cold all round.

The 430 bhp will have to wait until there is no NA GT4RS ....

Very impressive. At Donners in August I got a 1.61 best in the left at Craners, but best on the right-handers was only 1.35, so clearly I need to rethink what I'm doing in those.

'Have to be careful there .. I had the car step out as I lifted gently to bring the nose onto the apex --- still, it was the perfect excuse to get back on the gas smile

But, a spin there would be a but of a challenge ... smile
