"Can anyone suggest an Insurance Company which does not insist on ' activated Tracker ' for a vehicle of this value ?"
Why on earth would you not want this? Its £300 for 12 months!
I had my 981 taken away by the AA and as I watched it go with a tear in my eye I had a phone call to say it was being moved without ignition.
Its a no brainer in my view.

I hadn’t thought of posing as an AA man in order to steal cars. Why on earth would you not want this? Its £300 for 12 months!

Exo gives the water repellency and glassy shine, you defo want that on it!
Would you say that the EXO covers / masks any sponge marks / line trails left by the initial GTechniq treatment ?My previous Gen 3 treatment on another car ( Satin Metalised Factory Paint ) left sponge marks and line trails which can only be seen in certain lights and angles of view . I would not want this on a New Cayman ( S-Blue Metallic ) .
Both GTecnniq Crystal Serum and Gen3 Treatments are applied by hand with a sponge .... not sprayed on , so it's down to the Detailer's expertise in applying .
Did you have the Satin Black parts of the Bodywork and Wheels Treated with both Serum Crystal and EXO ? ..... or did you have Gloss Black parts on the Factory spec. car before the GTechniq Treatment ?
I would insist on these parts remaining Satin not with a ' glassy shine ' ............ can you advise ?
Lots of questions here but thanks in advance if you are able to clarify !

Yes ... This is the issue .Gap Insurance at £ 300 per year and Porsche Tracking at £ 235 per year .
If we opt for the Gap Insurance and reject the Tracking activation this would only cost £ 65 per year .
In the event of a Theft or Accident Total Loss would we want the car back after ' it's been ragged around and wrecked by some toe rag ' or rebuilt by a Porsche Accident Repairer ...... NO we would not .
The Gap Insurance covers for a New Car .... at Today's 'back-to-Invoice ' cost and covers Inurance Excess up to £ 7,000
I agree that knowing within a few minutes that your beloved Porsche has just been removed from it's resting place without your knowledge or permission would be beneficial BUT it would certainly ruin your day ! Then the anxious wait ... possibly forever for the call that your beloved Porsche has been Tracked to a Ditch in Belgium or subject to a Police chase around the M25 .

I can’t see any trails on mine, but I honestly don’t know if that’s down to application or Exo.My previous Gen 3 treatment on another car ( Satin Metalised Factory Paint ) left sponge marks and line trails which can only be seen in certain lights and angles of view . And the only unpainted black trims on mine are the wing mirror stalks, everything else was specced in gloss black. The wing mirrors are still satin in appearance. It’s my understanding Gtechniq wouldnt be applied to non painted trim.
Not sure how much help any of that was!

I've said exactly this for years - that is someone steals my car, I hope I never see it again.I insures my car for just under £60k and the requirement for a tracker never came up (using regular Compare the Market routes), so unless things change once you get past £70k, I'd be surprised you didn't have plenty of insurance options.
Hi, I’m just trying to settle on my spec for my boxster gts which my dealer tells me is due in Feb.
It’s my first Porsche so super excited about it.
My question is about the sports suspension option, I like the look of the lower stance but can anyone tell me what the ride might be like compared to not having it?
Cheers

I was having the same dilemma for my Boxster GTS. I asked the OPC if they had a car fitted with SPASM which I could try. Their response was that they never spec demo cars with SPASM as it can hinder subsequent sale because it can cause ground clearance problems. This is quite telling in itself and they recommended that I did not spec it. Don't know if this helps!
No GT but plenty of Carmine
