Wouldn’t it be better just removing the badge yourself? planning to remove the 718 bit.. maybe need to reallign it all.
You will have to re-centre it all - and good luck with getting the existing badges of in one piece. I ordered my Spyder with badge delete but they mistakingly delivered it with the full Boxster Spyder badge on the rear. They had their body shop remove the badge but even they broke it during removal (I then had it replaced simply with Spyder).

Dealer said the same, said I’d be better off getting no badge (as removal could leave marks) and then ordering a badge separately - think it’d look weird with just GTS? I like it on the GT3 etc

Popped down to the (closed) OPC East London today, and there are 5/6 GTSs ready for preparation.

My spec locks down in 48 hours on a Carmine Red Cayman, and I cannot decide whether to go for the painted exterior pack. I have jet black metallic carerra classic wheels, and I think the shiny black looks better than the greyish plastic, but I don’t love the additional red elements on the back bumper. Also questioning whether to get the side vent painted in jet black metallic for the same reason.

Think it finishes it off nicely, but is over £800 for both!

Hopefully the pics work for comparison - apologies for the awkward angle there wasn’t much space in the car park! EDIT: don’t know why the pics are upside down...

Mine locks next week too.
After much deliberation I've gone for the Alcantara GTS package and have specced the silver/grey belts to match the aluminium and lighten it a bit and also the red instrument dials.
Its strange that in the GTS interior they only put the rev counter in red but put both dials red when you spec it as separate.
I had climate control/rain sensor clicked and unclicked loads but decided Its not my daily so don't need to live with it everyday.
Will help keep the monthlies down.
Seems like East London Porsche have got a few of our orders.

Thanks for the pics. At this point all I want to do is stare at these cars lol. I’ve gone for the jet black sports pack purely because I liked those additional coloured parts in the rear (mine is crayon). This is the first time I’ve seen how different the jet black is vs the standard. I agree £500 ish for that is steep but looking that those pics I’m glad I’ve gone for it. I’ve not changed the side air intakes though and I am a little worried that they and possibly the wheels won’t look perfect together but we’ll see. I have gone for the jet black door handles though (£84) might be an option worth considering as it breaks it up nicely.
Yes they have an S in crayon with the pack inside - looks stunning in that colour. I just wonder if the red is too much. I think the combo is about £20pcm more on my PCP, so maybe I just go for it...

Guys if you order the sports pack you don’t get the GTS front bumber lower bumber extension it’s replaced with the sport pack extensions which are only either side of the bumber and not complete. Again ordering a GTS and getting normal spec any cayman can be ordered with argue

Sorry, I'm not clear what your message means? The difference between the normal spec and the sports pack are shown in the picture above. There is no more phyiscal bumper (because the GTS already has the sports bumper), it's just what is there is painted in jet black.

You will also find that the front of the Boxster GTS is different from Cayman GTS. The Cayman has the full width additional spoiler whereas the Boxster has two larger sections at each side, joined by a shallower centre section. This is more obvious if the black gloss option is selected for the Sport Design elements as the larger sections on the Boxster are painted whereas the small centre section is not. On the Cayman the full width spoiler is painted.

Look on the launch photos of the GTS not photos recently upload. The GTS front lower spoiler extension is around the complete lower section of the spoiler, the sport kit is only at the right and left edges . https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=paa9z9_RM-U

Clarification on the above post !

You are partially right my BGTS has a thin lip extension between the larger right and left edges. The Cayman GTS has a larger full lip spoiler - my friend picked his up on Saturnday and we only then noticed the difference when comparing the two close up.

Very interesting. I can see what you’re saying after watching the YouTube video again and looking more closely at the front lip. That being said if you go to the configurator the bottom lip looks, interms of full width or edges only, identical with and without the sports pack added.

What is odd here is the following. In that YouTube video of the GTS and pictures I have of the crayon cayman S from, the east London OPC, they both have the bottom lip that covers the full width. Both also appear to have the jet black sports package. But on the configurator for the GTS the lip seems to be lowest only at the edges...?

Edit: I misread the previous comments and thought we were discussing S vs GTS / standard cayman GTS pack vs Sports pack.

My salesman at the OPC has just confirmed that adding the sports design bumpers in black, and painting the side intake in jet black metallic, adds £11pcm to the PCP. In for a penny, in for a pound, I'm going to go for it...

I better bloomin' love this car!

Made this change to mine, 2 weeks before the design lock in December and Porsche consequently pushed by my build back by almost 5 weeks to late February. I did also change the gearbox, so to be fair to Porsche, that was probably the main reason for the rescheduling, but still, I was not best pleased!

Yeah they haven't mentioned anything about build timing change. I wouldn't be massively fussed - he seems super keen to get the car built asap, but I'm not going to pick it up until the end of June anyway.

Don't think I'll go and see it - it was really strange yesterday going down and seeing all that (literally millions of pounds' worth) of metal sitting there covered in dirty rain water, stickers with marker pen on them and so on. I know it's par for the course, but happy not to have it sitting there for too long!

I agree - I’ve seen the same myself here and at my local Mercedes dealership. Seems like a missed opportunity for the companies to impress us. Even if they put a branded, waterproof cover over the cars it would go some way to showing they were taking the best care of our new purchases.

I know colours are very personal but when I look at the 981GTS on the approved website most are white or red.
What colour have you ordered or already taken delivery of.
I'll start with Agate Grey though was a close call with GT silver.
Also those that have went red or white have you gone with the black non option wheels?
Just wondering is there a GTS colour bias?

I've stuck with the white, black and red theme - I wanted a classic colour that emphasises all the black GTS exterior contrast details + also worked well with the carmine red GTS interior package.

Here's my 718 Boxster GTS order spec:

Carrara White Metallic
Black Roof
Alcantara® Package GTS in conjunction with GTS interior package in Carmine Red
LED headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus)
ParkAssist (front and rear) with reversing camera
Electrically folding exterior mirrors
Fuel filler cap with Aluminium look finish
"PORSCHE" logo in satin black
6-speed manual transmission
Sports suspension (-20 mm) with PASM
20-inch Carrera S wheels (satin black)
GTS interior package
Cruise control
Speed limit display
Automatically dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensor
Light design package
Heated multifunction steering wheel
Sports seats Plus (2-way, electric)
Seat heating
Smoking package
Sun visors in Alcantara®
BOSE® surround sound-system
