Those clubsports running around Monza have me amped as hell, I've been fighting the urge to buy a GT4 for a while now but confirming that it's gonna be a 6 cylinder has me wondering if all they do is shorten up the gear ratios on the manual road going version then we are going to have the most perfect car ever built on our hands. I won't get a new one, but if that means the old one takes a hit in price then I just might be able to make it happen. Jesus christ I am losing my mind over what this car might become.

So almost 12 months on since the first sightings and still no launch. Porsche are really dragging this one out.

Geneva 2019 now?

As they say on their Imstagram post with that pic it looks like the exhausts are spaced like the 991.2 cars i.e. GTS rather than centrally like the GT cars.

There is gonna be an almighty feeding frenzy for these and heard this week that there might be two cars.... a GT and a limited numbers RS.
The internet is going to break.

I’m not sure of the RS theory though… RS is supposed to be unbridled, untapped and have everything + the kitchen sink, the best that can be done - a real Cayman RS would be an issue for the rest of GT hierarchy? So not so sure about it.

That will be the marketing, yes. The mules so seem to be running a variation of the underbody fins like the 911R and the .2 GT3/RS

But why would they cancel the Cayman? It's a rather popular model...

Sounds like PEC have got pre-production cars ready for customer order sessions? If so, a launch must be imminent...

I was also told by one of Porsche’s own OPCs about their being two, a 4 cylinder GT and a limited 6 cylinder RS. I will add the sales person was by no means certain this would be the outcome.

PEC do NOT have any 718 GT4s neither are any expected for some considerable time yet.

The black and yellow 981 GT4s will be there for some time.

Good call sir. I drove the yellow one last year and forgot there was a black one too.
