The 718 GT4 might be arriving sooner than you think!

It could be a test mule for another engine going in a completely different car.
Possibly.... (And there have been discussions over on Rennlist mooting that as a possibility.... ) But.... It just seems a bit unlikely that Porsche would already be sticking different motors in the new 718 GT4/Spyder bodyshells so close to the unveiling of the 2nd Gen models.... It seems as if they’ve already had enough difficulty fitting/configurating/meeting EU regs for the engine in the upcoming models... Without making life even more complicated, and messing around with further mule/engine types before the new Spyder/GT4 is even announced..... But, who knows....That's an old quote I think.
I see that the mules are back at the Nurburgring this week, no video has appeared as yet though. I've read a couple of new suggestions that the GT4 will be a turbo 6 and that an RS version is still under consideration. SO basically, Porsche have done a great job in keeping the speculation going!
Fokker - did your masseuse ever get back to you re. the noise?

Would be very interesting if they only realised an RS for the GT4.... would also mark the first non-911 RS... so a big statement for Porsche in their 70th year.
Could be spun to get them out of the 718 = 4 Pot' marketing corner they have backed themselves into, if they only use the 6 in GT4 and the 4 in the Spyder....
anyway the wheels keeps turning..

The article told me nothing new other than the (mobile) evo website is a mess of adverts and pop ups.
. Perhaps.... But it is the first article published in the past year that has not been absolutely definitive that the new GT4/Spyder WILL have a N/A flat 6..... Which is interesting in itself....
