I wonder why they would include the previous GT4 over even say the 718 GTS. (I appreciate the 4 pot hasn’t won everyone over but no way Porsche would deliberately insult their own product?

Why is it an insult, it could've been any Porsche displayed on the PCM?

Hmm. Seems odd that they would show a previous generation vehicle rather than a brand new one. Especially considering it’s tucked away in the launch promo for a brand new car.

Maybe it doesn’t mean anything, and in proper piston head fashion I’m sure I’m over analysing. Seems an odd choice of car to include to me though. Why not something from the near future or at least something currently available. If not either of them then maybe a classic that represents the brand.

Seems to me that this specific car suggests they want to show it off. On that basis I think it’s strange that it’s not the new model on there.

They’ve shared an image of a car they’re no longer producing over any car they are. Given they’ve shared an image of an old cayman, it raises the question, why that over the new one.

Not logical either, because GT3 with only PDK where later offered MT, so buyers did have their choice.

Currently there are difficulties on the WLTP cycle, so PDK offering on the 718GT4 could be profitable for Porsche on (total) CO2/NOx emissions.
