Seems rational given delays and 992/Electric focus at Geneva.

Still hope for earlier ordering if the 'rumoured' Wk 30 first shipments is true.

I dunno, Porsche have a strong presence there. The GT2 Moby Dick was unveiled at Rennsport Reunion in the US rather than a traditional motor show.

Nope that's current. It's May reveal confirmed by my dealer so Goodwood is about right for the launch.

My guess is that it is sensationalist reporting and they're referring to one specced with just about every option available.

The 718 bit was just a marketing smoke screen to try to smooth over the transition to 4-pot by creating a tenuous link to Porsche's rich heritage and hopping punters swallowed it. Should have just left it alone.

£90k ouch better get saving as my LOI went into my dealer 12 months ago
Makes the current 981 Spyders look like great value for this spring

Makes the current 981 Spyders look like great value for this spring
but it will be £69/72k imo.
and no such thing of a LOI, that's been placed in said OPC bin ;-).

Yes 67 to 72k much more enticing
Let’s see. Yes fully understand that post Boltonporschegate LOI no longer so perhaps better described as a very woolly letter from my
dealer that if car announced I might find myself in an orderly cue with absolutely no commitment or other comeback!

Be a great buy at sub 70k base.

If a decent spec is say £110k at least they will go to people who really want one as not much scope for overs which is good news.

If they’ve had to develop a new engine, even if it is based on the old MA1, it’ll be more expensive. It’s not just a Carrera S engine off the shelf this time. Also gives them an excuse to hike the price.

£90k with options I think. So what £75-78k base

All guesswork!

Sounds like it could cost twice what my 981 CGTS will be worth as a trade-in eek

To rich for my blood if true, I'll stick with what I've got and look at mods instead.

If as is likely to be the case and the 718GT4 moves the game on from the 981, then it should be one very desirable motor car. I think we all mostly agree that today 420 BHP is enough to make a very entertaining road car, if we improve the handling we will have a fantastic track car better than the 981GT4.
My opinion for what its worth, £90k could well be very good value for money when your paying £150k for a nice spec on a manual GT3.
