Audi fixed the lift issue on the Mk1 TT with a tiny lip spoiler. Big wings on road cars divide opinion; I'm firmly in the 'No' camp.
I am in what feels best camp as I like driving :-)

Like the plate on that Panamera.

LOW 88.

Presumably short for lowlife.

Although I have seen even more desperate and equally tragic attempts to impress:

Get yourself to Donington then and have the balls to demonstrate your skills instead of alluding to them(like the 1st gear micro skid) and how to use the pyro and chalk, careful where they might get shoved:-)

See you there then it’s a date.

If you don’t we must assume you’re the habitual bullxxiter with all the gear and no idea (ps we all know that really)
Pretty happy being the guy with no idea, if that’s suits the trolls.

I offered to race you in caterhams, but it seems not easy to do, I will again offer to do the gennetta test sessions with you if you wish at Donny one evening and we can post the results on the forum.

I am a pretty easy going and fair person all told, so not sure why you troll me to death.

I don’t mind losing the test day for all to see, but can you risk putting in a slower lap time than me and posting it on the forum, when I am the guy with zero skills and no idea.

We will see.

Mr D, 911R, David, Nigel or Ayrton, what ever your actual name is. Can you please answer this question with a simply ‘yes’ or ‘no’ - please!

Have you done a track day in your GT3?

It's a Porsche forum, and you have a Porsche GT3 which you should bring on track to prove your prowess behind the wheel, is as good as your assertion to as much on the forum.

Of course you won't, as in reality you don't have the ability you to allude to on the forum and are worried about being called out.

We're not interested in Caterham's, Ginetta's or any other brand, your bragging pertains to Porsche's so kindly step up to the plate and prove it, or stop crowing about it on here.

You could easily of booked Donington but chose not to, which just confirms in reality you talk a good (and repetitive) job :-)

This is the 718 GT4 is arriving sooner than you think topic I think we are getting side-tracked.

Can we get back on topic please, this could be continued on the GT track day topic which
is more suitable.
I know David is a controversial figure but as said above in person he is a nice guy.

Hoping this topic gets an announcement soon.

Chaps, noted your comments and request for getting the thread back on topic.

My final words on it, all Porsche911R has to do is come along to Donington or another circuit and prove his abilities in his GT3 or not, simple.

Cheers

I keep offering to do a timed event with you head to head, you keep refusing and Just Troll me on forums, I think it's pretty clear for people to see.

Why are you interested in seeing me on track in my own car, I would not take you out in it, so what would it prove.

The only thing I will do with you is race you head to head in cars neither of use own, just to see who is faster or who talks the talk, and for it to be made public the lap times on here.

So my last word on it also or any other regarding your Posts. Because there seem NO way you will ever take me on it seems ! which is odd when you think you are some hero and I would be easy meat.

Conclusion. 911R has never tracked his GT3, his GTS or his previously owned GT4. His lack of response (it’s not the first time I’ve asked him directly) confirms this. I therefore hold no respect for his opinions on any of these cars in terms of their credentials or his ‘experience’ of them on track. He says he only does two track days a year, which ones have you done or are you doing in 2019 Mr D?

Back on topic, does anybody know what engine is in the GT4...?

Popped into my local OPC today to pick something up I'd ordered and been told I'm definitely getting something with 6 cylinders sometime next year, announcements likely in Autumn where deposits will be required and first cars delivered next Spring. No more details on the cars themselves though.

I know a few people who have met David in person and at trackdays, I've spoken to him on the phone and emailed him and as I understand it he is a decent guy and a good driver.

He has strong opinions but I don't think I've seen him resort to personal insults on here.

Maybe some people should just fk off and leave him alone.

I don’t doubt anything you are saying about Mr D, I’m sure there is a perfectly nice chap behind his keyboard persona. I’m just asking him a simply question which, not for the first time, he refuses to answer. And I therefore conclude that his opinions on various GT cars track abilities are purely based on either what he has read, or what he thinks to be the case rather than first hand experience.

I have not made any personal insults and I am not a bully of any kind, so please reframe from telling me to F off. Thank you.

My OPC seemed surprisingly confident that there would be a reveal of some sort at FOS, he did then backtrack to say ‘rumour has it’.

I am so far down his list for an allocation that I imagine he didn’t give his response to me too much thought though smile

I met both Jcosh and 993RSR over either a few pints or in the pit garages at SS and will testify that both are perfect gentlemen..I've yet to meet Mr D however i'm pretty confident that he'll be an equal gentleman away from the surreal cyber world of Pistonheads.
The whole point of the very well intentioned Trackdays instigated by 993RSR was to create a real world meeting place for all of us like minded car enthusiasts to bury the hatchet....preferably not in each others heads !..I really hope that Mr D attends the Donny day and enjoys a few laps in 993RSR's CGT which is a very enjoyable experience especially if you have a very low sense of self preservation..

And if you look at some of the posts Mr D has made in the past - accusing people who he disagreed with of being alcoholics - he has traded insults way beyond anything on this thread.

As jcosh says there is no need to tell people to fxxk off and leave him alone I’d let him try and defend himself personally.

The track days I instigated were for the reason of taking the tension out of the forum. The guys that attended had a great time, David has ample opportunity to attend one of them and learn to get on with like minded folk but chooses not to.

It’s a real shame but such is life.
