I’ve noticed an oil / wax spray over the paintwork - that I think comes from the rear spoiler. Also coats the windscreen (which caused me to comment on the wiper performance before).
The car is dry - the beading is the waxy / oil deposit.

I found these very interesting posts which all seem to have been written from real experience of the 718.

Its clearly a very capable car and overall a step up from predecessors.

I have a Miami Blue 718 2.0 PDK Cayman. After three Boxsters I fancied a change and I am so glad I did change.

By far and away the best car I have ever owned there is nothing I don't like, It handles, it pulls like a train, it is comfortable and (for what it is) practical. It is not too expensive to run either.

I have Sport Chrono, PSE, Cruise, posh lights, Sports Plus Seats, 20" wheels plus other stuff that I can't remember.

So many positive comments and people are always taking photos of it.

If you are in the market for a car of it's type looking anywhere else would be a waste of time.
