Looking for some help/advice with my keys on my 986. Went out walking in horrific weather, waterproof jacket with key in pocket... left pocket unzipped and it filled with water. Key had a lovely swim.

Realised, dried and changed battery but now dead. So I thought I could live without remote locking but have since found locking using the door lock arms the alarm but unlocking using the door does not disarm it. Unhelpful!

So, two questions.

Can I re-code a used fob ?
Can I disable the alarm?

Any help most appreciated folks, thanks.

Unlock the car with the key and immediately put key in ignition and turn on will help in the short term.

Thanks. Is there a way to disable the alarm?
