Fiat Cinquecento Sporting (in yellow of course)

Peugeot 206 GTI (crap, but 2ltr engine seemed big step up at the time)

Lotus Elise S2 (basic version, but awesome car)

Cayman S 987.1 (ultimately found a bit boring?!.. missed the Elise, a lot).... Audi A6 allroad at same time.

Boxster Spyder 987 (fell in love when press shots released. Like a grown up Elise)

Just realised I left out of my list the BMW 318 Compact that came in between the last Polo and the Mini Cooper. Felt very grown up when I got that car.

Some nice cars on your lists.
30 years as follows...

Mini 1100cc , red
MG Midget , wheel fell off ( best leave maintenance to the pros)
Golf GTi Mk1 1.8 , black, twin headlights
Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9 , Miami blue, full leather (funfair came to town, alloys went missing)
Boxster S 3.2 , owned for 10 yrs
Cayman S 3.4 , owned for 8 yrs
718 Cayman base PDK , 5 months now

And...

Yamaha R1 blue new - stolen (police got ‘em but bike was in bits)
Yamaha R1 blue new - crashed, ouch
Yamaha R1 blue new - in ex-girlfriend’s garage, with my golf clubs , might not see that again

Starting in 1987...

1974 Toyota Corolla SR
Mk1 Astra EXP
Mk2 Astra SR
Mk1 Astra GTE
205 1.9GTi
Suzuki SJ10
Daihatsu 4x4 thing
Cortina Mk4 1.6
Mk2 XR2
1992 Cooper S
Vectra GL (Company car)
406 3.0 Coupe (Company car)
Audi TT 225 Mk1 (Company car)
Audi A4 1.8T Convertible
Audi TT 3.2 V6 Mk1 Manual

Then combos...

TT V6 plus Jeep Patriot
E92 M3 plus Jeep Patriot
E92 M3 plus R56 JCW

Now the first Porsche arrives:

E92 M3 plus 981 Boxster S

Then it goes a bit daft:

E92 M3, Boxster S, MK Indy R R1, Ford Model A.

That's 1987 to 2013

Then it goes mental in 2014 and now this little lot are now sat in the garage:

1930 Ford Model A Phaeton
1961 Mk2 Jag 3.4 manual
1964 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint
1967 Abarth 595
1972 Mk1 Escort RS 1600 BDA Cosworth
1996 Esprit V8
2008 E92 M3
2010 997.2 GT3RS
2012 Boxster S
2014 458 Spider
2015 F12
2015 Speciale
2015 Mercedes GL
2016 Mercedes GLA
2017 Lotus Exige 350 Sport

and a quarter share in a couple of endurance race cars.

And I've run out of space. :-(

Of the cars that I have owned but no longer own I would love the Mk2 Astra SR, Mk1 Astra GTE, 205 1.9GTi and V6 Mk1 TT (t'was a rare manual) back. I could happily set fire to the Vectra and A4 convertible.

Oh, there was a Ginetta GRDC G40 in there in 2016 too. Sold.

started in march 1989
first Porsche driven (my brothers 964 C4 in 1994)
first Porsche feel in love with (a different brothers 911 3.2 Clubsport in 1998)
first own Porsche January 2005

prior to my first Porsche I owned (in ownership order) :

1989 Fiat Uno 60S
1990 Citroen AX GT
1992 Fiat Tipo 2.0 16V
1995 Fiat Punto GT (first company car)
1996 Caterham 7 1.6 Ford c/flow (first race car, built it with my bro, ok I made the tea)
1984 Volvo 244 DL estate (tow car....)
1998 Subaru Impreza Turbo wagon
1999 Citroen Xsara 2.0 VTS coupe (just got married, bought a house/skint)
2001 Ford Ka (for the wife really)
2001 BMW 330i touring (e46)
2002 BMW M5 (e39)
1988 VW Golf GTi 16v (mk 2)
2004 Subaru Forester 2.0 XT
2001 Caterham 7 Superlight R
2005 Porsche Carrera S (997.1)

after which it all went a bit silly and probably best left unsaid !

So you could say I'm pretty much a Porsche fan these days, though I have a few other marques on order, due to the difficulty of getting cars!

Perhaps not the most interesting list, and I suspect there's half-a-dozen i've forgotten too.

Bizarrely, the best and worst car on that list was the 3008. Ugly and rubbish to drive, but utterly cavernous and tough as a rhino.

The ones I wish i'd kept are the Prelude BB4 (factory lightened, 2ws, LSD and 200bhp engine) e39 530d, S2000 and the Meg 250 Cup.
