Boxster 2002 Looking to purchase

Hiya,
Thank you for the ad's
Did like the black one with the hard top but checked on the MOT history and this concerned me.
Nearside Rear Shock absorber has a light misting of oil (2.7.3) - Could be a issue with the shocks
On the previous MOT it was the same and also the Offside Rear Shock same issue
What about this one. I realise the mileage is high but clutch has been done, comes with hard top, passed MOT with no advisories
They are willing to maybe accept 4k for the car. Spoke to them on the phone

Some people have commented on posts that if the mileage is very low for an older model it means it hasn't been used a lot and that could also be a problem.
It's so difficult to pick....

Personally I'd rather get something in the 80k mileage range rather than 50k or 130k.
Not a garage queen with bits still waiting to go wrong, nor starting to get tired.
But having said that, condition and a history of being looked after is more important than miles and even at 100k+ they can have a lot more life left in them if looked after.
I'd also want a 3.2 or at least 2.7 if really nice, over a 2.5 (based on the 2.5 that I drove)

Hiya,
Went and test drove this Porsche today, in excellent condition, FSH and last service at 102k
Is it a lot for a 1998 model?

Despite the ad saying 2.7, that car is a 2.5 engine. Unless it's been changed? . The 2.7 wasn't available until 2000.Went and test drove this Porsche today, in excellent condition, FSH and last service at 102k

That's my understanding too, though I'm a little wary of the 3.2. Not a garage queen with bits still waiting to go wrong, nor starting to get tired.

I've just put down a deposit on this: 2.7 - will collect tomorrow if it's as per the ad.
