Can’t you just turn the volume down and then there will be no sounds when you start up.

No, there's a default it keeps going back too. Oddly, that default is fairly quiet and you end up wondering what the noise is until you realise it's the damn radio. Again.

Mine stays on mute or the previous volume. Bluetooth audio tends to mess that up though and it defaults back to FM with some volume.

There is some questionable taste out there, but hey, we are individuals. Some like a flat 6 others accept a flat 4. Only two digits separate all of us.............. To paraphrase the great Eric Morecambe, 'I know all the notes, not necessarily in the correct order'...

Not required, not an issue. As said we are individuals, we all like different things for different reasons. Doesn't make anything wrong/right.

Super bright 'lock' light high up in the dash is/was an issue for me. Easily fixed with tinted film. Just a 'nice' car. Manual gearing is long though. 80+ in second, whilst nice, does blunt the acceleration somewhat. Anyone changed the final drive ratio?
