Fair comment Crispy. You do realise, however, that the spoiler only pops up at over 65 (ish) MPH and is not visible from inside the car? I don't know what it's like on the 981. Unless, of course, you wish to have the spoiler permanently up so that others can see it.
981 spoiler can bet manually put up by a button in car, you can just about see it through rear window as well!

As can that on the 987 but it's not really visible from inside the car. Maybe I am just not accelerating hard enough!

It's the other way around for me. I first fell in love with the 987 Cayman because of the curvy rear end. The 981 became less curvy and more slab sided. The one thing we have in common is that we both know that the car, in whatever iteration, is truly superb as a drivers car. I hope you enjoy whichever 981 you choose.

There will be, in each corner of Yorkshire. If I had my Porsche magazine to hand I would let you know. I suspect someone will be along soon with the information you need. When you bag the car for you, join the Porsche Club of Great Britain. Its not expensive but it will keep you will updated on what is going on in the world of Porsche and particularly your local region. You will also get discount on your insurance through Lockton's.

When I couldn't afford a 981 I was quite happy with the 987 shape.
When I could afford a 981 I was quite happy with the 981 shape.
Now, when I see a 987, I prefer my 981's shape.
If I'd bought a 987, I'd probably prefer it to any 981 I then saw.

Summary: They're both fine.
