PPF on a 718 Cayman GTS - Prices ?

Just looking into the rough prices people have paid for the XPEL Paint Protection Film ? Mine has been ceramic coated but I want the extra protection of the film for the rubber at trackdays and the stones that get thrown up on a blast out with mates !!!
Just toying with getting the whole car done or just the high impact zones which will be bonnet , front bumper & headlights, wing mirrors , A pillar and the flanks by the side intakes and rear bumper lowers ( that look like they can take a right pounding )
What sort of prices have people either paid or been quoted ??

It will all have to be removed, probably not worth the effort or expense versus a respray in due course

Just a little update to this. It seems that not all glass / nano coatings are equal. Some you can cover with PPF. I popped down and had a test piece applied and the fitter were more than happy with the results.
The car now has full frontal PPF in XPEL`s latest film guaranteed for 10yrs in the high impact areas and some spats added to the sides and rear bumper to protect those vulnerable areas too. I`m well happy with the results and can now drive relatively worry free.
The next option is to explore the "Clearplex" windscreen equivalent of PPF.

Out of interest did they do the headlights?
Yes they did. Apparently there can be a problem due to a coating that is present on the headlights again causing the PPF to not stick as well as it should. If it starts to peel off or show any signs of degradation then they will simply remove and reapply. The warranty is valid for 10 years on all of the installation Out of interest did they do the headlights?

I spent ages procrastinating over this and none of the local fitters would do it. Shame as the headlights are v expensive and take the brunt of it. I have heard some of the ppf fitters have come up with a technique for modern Porsche headlights.
Yes , I'm not sure what special technique they used but they knew all about it. At end of the day if it lasts 12 months and then the headlight film needs replacing , so be it. It's all under warranty and a relatively quick job just the lights.Just seen this could of saved you half.

My mate does PPF and detailing and thats not mates rates either! Don't know why people get conn'd that PPF is so expensive.

the car is now just over 4 years old - is there a limit to how long the film can stay on before it becomes difficult (or even damaging) to take it off?
there was a programme on TV the other day where a car had an old wrap removed (it was about 7 or 8 years old) and the wrap had partly deteriorated so was difficult to remove and worse still, took off some of the paint with it.
the car is now just over 4 years old - is there a limit to how long the film can stay on before it becomes difficult (or even damaging) to take it off?

Not that I know of mate, My mate was bring PPF on a 997 GT2 back to life, it was old PPF but he wasn't replacing it but machine polishing it etc. So i wouldn't expect so. the car is now just over 4 years old - is there a limit to how long the film can stay on before it becomes difficult (or even damaging) to take it off?
