In my experience when encountering slopes in the GT4:

Go in reverse for an 'up slope' and go forward for a 'down slope'. It's not 100% effective but works best for me.

p.s. The above advice should be ignored when track driving and one should definitely not try going backwards up Eau Rouge! biggrin
Good thing you corrected yourself. I was literally just about to try that around my local Mach Loop. wink

I'll get a GT4 out from a dealer I think. Not exactly a shortage for sale.

Let us know how you get on with that because in my experience they (OPCs) don't let people take a GT car out without seeing a real commitment to buy.

I've owned both.

GT4 is definitely lower than the QF.

I'd say in real world terms the GT4 catches on a lot more stuff than the QF did.

You took your time to fill me in wink

How do you find the QF Vs the GT4 for driver feel? I find the QF very rewarding in almost every situation. It's happy everywhere it would seem.

I love both equally. GT4 maybe that little bit more direct. But the damping control of the QF was something else.

I wouldn’t track a QF though. It can’t handle it without ruining itself! GT4 can go round for days with no issues.

Hi all,

Quick question for you: what's the ground clearance on the nose of the GT4? Also, how far back are the front wheels? I have a fairly steep driveway and the clearance as you approach is key to car ownership. Too low and it'll foul. My Giulia QF just clears it, but it's a low car for a saloon. Thanks in advance.
Courtesy of Rennlist. I used this when I had a garage built as a yard stick for the approach angle of the entrance ramp.

Just got home. Unladen the car sits at 13cm with 63cm of travel before the tyres hit the incline. That's the Alfa.

Just been to Portsmouth. 110cm tyre to nose Vs the 63 on the Alfa. 11cm deck to splitter. So that'll be a no based on the nose length. frown

I had no issues with the gt4 and my drive was very steep and flattened sharply out at the bottom .

Its worth a try, no different to on and off car ferries!? You just need to get hold of one.

If it was a few cm I'd be keen to try. 47cm is beyond another level. If the opportunity arises then I'll certainly try (or get close) but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Great news, get it bought. Although, I’m told the yellow ones are slower...

It's definitely thrown a spanner in the works..

The wife was very much "yeah, I really like it"..... knowing that it wouldn't go up the drive. Now she's having to live with the false support smile
