I've not mentioned the PPF.
Looks like I need to make a call?

Admiral multi car for me as well, great cover without some of the BS and additional “Porsche tax” add-ons that I experienced while searching for insurance.

Always a good idea to send your insurer a copy of your cars official spec sheet and invoice cost.
Is this a thing?

Bloody good idea to cut out any ambiguity. I've never been asked though.

Don't give up on Admiral if they come up as expensive.

I called them up and they reduced their price to below the best quote I'd had on the comparison site.

Ok Will maybe give them a call see if they will play ball .

So I collected the car today under the drive away insurance , bit of a strange one as didn’t see this purchase coming, I was at a merc dealer next door on Monday and decided to pop into Porsche dealer to kill some time as I was waiting for some coding to be done and they had just taken this car in px the day before , I’ve been searching twice a day for a PDK Spyder in a bright colour ideally yellow or guards red since I was knocked back for a new one when they first come out , have to say I was unsure about the colour as when I first viewed the car it had just arrived was still filthy and was a wet dark day but seeing it today all cleaned up out in the sun knocked back any reservations I had !

First drive home went well, I’ve owned a 981 Spyder previously just couldn’t get away with the gearing or 3.8 engine so I parted with it after around 18 months and have been running a BGTS 981 PDK for the last year which I really like and was surprised at the different engine note , I actually think the 3.4 sounds better, not saying the 4.0 doesn’t sound well but it’s a lot quieter even with the exhaust switched on which really shocked me .
It’s certainly quicker and the PDK box has a lot sharper change and I’m certainly sold on the Spyder looks.
I didn’t managed to px my GTS so will run them side for a week just to be 100% sure, before advertising the GTS .

Pic in the collection bay.

Not my experience this year sadly. Admiral took their prices up 40% on my multicar. No claims, convictions or driver changes. I got requotes that took the price down to below the prior year and then spoke to admiral. They shaved a few hundred off, but got nowhere near the quotes I’d got so I changed. It was a hassle getting all the separate quotes and then having very long discussions, but it saved over a grand so I did it.

I called Admiral today, their website quote was £400 more than than it was on one of the comparison sites for the same cover, they said they would match the comparison site quote but wouldn't match any other insurer, I asked about multi car policies and if they would insure my classics but they said its not their area so doesn't look as though they will be getting my business this year.

So back to the search...

would anyone with a Python green car share some pics, just wondering if my wheels would maybe look better a different colour, I spotted a black Rs drive by the other week with what looked like gold wheels and It surprised me how well it looked .

Here you go. I think gold would be a bit much. Like mine the way it is

I would have said the same on a black car but they actually worked well .
Mine are more like grey which look ok but not sure given the choice that’s what I would have gone for hence asking . Silver certainly looks brighter .
