Can anybody tell the height difference at the lowest level for;
Sport Seats Pus
18 way electrical seats
LWB
I`ve specced y car with the 18 way, I would like to compare. I do like the 18 way because I can lower the front, so my thighs are not that cramped. The low buttock and high leg driving position is not a easy way for me to sit.
I had 18 way in my GTS for 3years and that was fine as a daily, and always felt that they were low. Sport Seats Pus

I have LWB in my GT4 and now that is really on the floor of the chassis.
18 way in the GT4 yesterday actually ruined the car for me. I felt on top of the car. Felt like the roll centre was higher and the car felt big. This compounded with the poor geo set up was not good, but I’m not rubbishing the car it’s just down to set up.
The Spyder with the folding buckets was leagues better for me. But the 918 LWB are best of all for me feeling really plugged into the chassis.
Is it possible for the LWB to tilt forward?
I would like a more horizontal seating position, so lowering the upper leg.
I`m 1,80m and 80 kg.

I’ve had both in the past and have gone for FSB on my 718 Spyder. I’ve always found them the more comfortable of the two and as it’s a Spyder I like the heated option, I intend on doing more Euro road trips than track days.
Agree with all of this - I have LW buckets in my GT3 and folding in my Spyder and for me Edited by Bedlamater on Saturday 7th December 03:29
, I think the folding are the better seat due to snug fit, however the LWB are the nicer looking seat - both aren’t too shabby though

Ireland only has one OPC, and aI was lucky to get the only 2019 slot (although I won’t be picking it up until Jan, as it arrives late Dec)... and as far as I know they only have 2 slots for 2020.
Hi, will it be out on any Porsche Ireland club runs in Spring 2020...😀Ive fitted the TAG motorsports front risers, ve easy to dowith the seat out.
They tip the LWB seat back enough so when i wear a helmet i dont feel “forced” to tip my head forward.
Small downside is that when you move the seat back the headrest now hits the firewall so do it gently.
For the poster who asked about tipping forward the problem would be that the headrest would be at an uncomfortable angle.

First proper dry warm (ish) day - lots of roof down time in the 718 Spyder - it’s magnificent; a proper car
Was your 997.2 RS , 991.1 RS and 964 RS not proper cars then ?What makes this a proper car ?
I think the point I was making on the 718 Spyder is it’s “grown up” somehow and now feels to me like a soft top mini GT car - a proper car in “proper” GT company, in its own right, that’s all.
Re other cars you mention; Yep all of them were / are very much what I’d call “proper cars but obviously only IMHO. Of the cars I've sold or still have; both the 991.1 GT3 and 991.1 RS left and didn’t get a second thought from me .I still have and can’t see me selling the 991.2 GT3 (manual) and I often think about my 997.2 RS, I’m sure I’ll get another one day - I really loved that car.
964 RS - deffo a proper car - they don’t make them like that anymore
Aren’t we lucky to get to play in these things - time is catching up with us and they are getting more and more out of step with modern sentiment

GT4RS incoming soon.
Que AP saying how its fixed all the faults in the GT4/Spyder and its PDK box changes up so much faster
How much faster (0-60), is the GT4 RS with a PDK gear box going to be? Surely too close to a GT3 OR not fast enough to warrant an RS badge over the ‘standard’ GT4?Que AP saying how its fixed all the faults in the GT4/Spyder and its PDK box changes up so much faster
I am picking my GT4 up in 3 weeks, and I’m really curious to see how it feels against my old 718 GTS, as the PDK (and turbo) gives it a faster 0-60 than the GT4.
It will be interesting to see where the GT4 RS (PDK) stands in between the GT4 and GT3.
Picked mine up on Friday, went to the PCGB dinner on Saturday and Bicester on Sunday now got just over 300 miles on it, being carefully run in and intend to do an oil change before giving it the beans.
Couple of items I've picked up so far and not sure if anyone else has had similar, firstly I have had a metallic clonk from the rear suspension when going over a noticeable dip / pot hole at both slow and reasonable speeds. Secondly the cruise control makes a really odd engine noise when its holding back the car on for example a downward slope where the car would naturally gain speed.
Please see a couple of pictures I am more than happy with the look.

Is the clonk due to the cage if you have the Clubsport option? I don't think you do but it's hard to tell from the pics.
Re. the cruise control, could this be cylinder deactivation kicking in when the engine is coasting? One way to test it is to turn it off via the stop-start on/off button.

No not got a cage I did not have one because the 981 half cage rattled like mad and the effect of the cage in my opinion does not justify the rattles, its not like a GT3 where a cage is part of its DNA. I will only do 3 or 4 track days a year and they won't be chasing lap times.Re. the cruise control, could this be cylinder deactivation kicking in when the engine is coasting? Will try switching off stop/start.
Thanks
