GT4 review:
Not that any of these figures really matter much, both it and the Spyder are about more than that... but a not to shabby review with some good numbers when they compare to other cars.
The car does have an exhaust upgrade fitted - but for example:
0-60 - 4.19
This is a US test so 0-60 - not 0-62
Anyway, worth a watch
Numbers Numbers Numbers. I have been sucked into this as well. Interesting discussion on all these insane numbers to 60 being tossed around. Jason Cammisa discusses this on his show (start video at around 4 mins if you want to the main part). But he asks an interesting question - what are we chasing? He references the new M8 0-60 time in the latest edition of C and D. Basically can you still have fun going 2.5 to 60? His argument is that the cars are pursuing these crazy 60 times and forgetting what the fun is the overall package of the car. It just goes by so quickly..Also interesting he thinks that 5 seconds to 60 is the sweet spot. I think Bovington made a similar argument after driving the Tesla. Harris has also referred to the HP war. I guess that is why cars like the 987 Spyder and R get so much love on here. Perhaps in the pursuit of numbers we have forgotten why we loved cars in the first place.

Put it on a scale and you might be surprised at the real actual weight being quite a lot higher.......
Exactly this and why i love it when H Metcalfe shows every car he tests being weighed in his garage..No 981GT4 ever weighed as little as the official 1340KG no matter what the spec..Budflicker said:
Python green now available on the configuratior.
I’m seriously considering ticking the box . Would be nice to see it in flesh but suspect I’ll be locked down by then . I was a previous owner of the viper R so have some history with green . Just a little worried there may be loads of them .

Did anyone ask/get an answer or view from their OPC on the possibility of a paint to sample or special order colour on the GT4?
Cheers.
I spoke to someone from Porsche Germany about this when the car was first shown at Goodwood last year...and was told that it was the intention (at that time) that PTS wouldn't be available for UK cars. I think this was due to percentage uptake on previous models.Cheers.
Thats said, this is now 13 months ago and a lot can change in that time.

Yes a lot has changed if you look at the USA PTS price today circa £10265 ($12830) compared to my 2016 PTS Spyder £2832 Thats said, this is now 13 months ago and a lot can change in that time.

I asked multiple times for PTS on my 718 Spyder - was told immediately every time it wasn’t possible. I asked for them to send a request to Porsche (not sure if it ever actually was) but was again told no. Then the 4.0 GTS was announced before mine went into build, I asked if they could get mine painted Python Green rather than PTS - again told no. You can imagine my frustration that Python Green became an option not long after I took delivery!
I think PTS on these would only be even a slight possibility if you were a top, top customer (eg 918 buyer) and you really pushed for it. Or maybe if you just got really lucky.

Regarding PTS on a 718, I think it's pretty much a "no-go" across Europe in general, not just the UK. I asked when I bought my GT4 in Switzerland and was told that it is unlikely to be approved and the cost is now eye-watering! I understand that the same is said in Germany (even in the Stuttgart dealership) ...
However, here there is no messing around with allocations, having to buy other cars to get a slot, or taking dippers (I tried the latter and was refused but got one of the first cars at my dealership anyway; first ever Porsche purchase anywhere, not just here ...)
