My dealer was charging me for it, decided to leave it..
They shouldn't as part of PDI.

My car had both harnesses and the extinguisher fitted before collection with no additional cost to me.

As TDT says, fitting them subsequently isn't cheap as it's quite a bit of labour time.
Same here, My OPC ( Leeds ) fit both harnesses for free..

It's a bit of a hard sell. Certainly for those more well heeled than myself smile

Speaking of the harness fitment, does anyone know how to increase the length of the lap(crotch) belt? I've tried to loosen it under the seat but can't seem to add any slack and I'd rather have a bit more room for my erm.. old chap.

I assume the other guys on here with allocations have been told the same, but had the email confirming spec lockdown for my Spyder on 24th March. Let's have your build codes for PH review and approval....

Here's mine (at the moment): http://www.porsche-code.com/PMUY5VC0

I updated my spec last week, this is now practically identical to the white Spyder press car that appeared in Top Gear and Evo magazine reviews and a few YouTube vids, so I've seen it in the flesh so to speak and I like it. With the exception of the chairs and a few bits they're the same car.

I'm on the fence on whether to upgrade to LED headlights, but I'll probably leave it. I'm glad I'll have closure on 24th...

It looks great, but personally I'd lose the red dials and switch the silver aluminium interior for something else such as the free black aluminium option smile

Coloured dials are a must for me. If they did white ones for the Spyder I'd get those, but alas not.

The interior bit is body coloured standard trim, so it's white. I changed the spec last week, moving from black aluminium trim as I like the contrast of the white bits inside but I'm not sure yet so might change it back. It's a free option either way so not too bad, but that said this was how Porsche specced their press car and I quite liked it.

Gotcha, makes sense on a convertible I think but as I don't like them I don't know what's the norm/good for resale etc.

Looks like you're sorted then smile

I think you should definately reconsider the LEDs. From memory they are about £400 more expensive than he Bi-xenons.. Having driven both Bi-xenon and LEDS lights, the difference is greatly noticeable. I also believe the LEDS come with Head beam assist and of course the classicfour pointy Porsche design! Needless to say, it is one box that I ticked straight away. Just my two pennies worth.

Here's mine which should be built by 20th March and delivery 2nd/3rd week in April. I placed the order last September and time has been dragging lately!!

I hope it's worth it. I've only ever driven a Porsche once before which was a Cayman 718S and that was only for a couple of hours.

Lovely. Surely yellow stitching to go inside though?

Just looking at some of these listings on AT. Sat here wondering where the trade bids are (I have a decent idea). Lets say you specced a GT4 to ~100k and took it back after a few months. You have lost VAT, right? OPC bid ~ £83/85k?.

Hate to make it all about money, but it is a factor i guess.
Our 718 GT4 is low spec and one year old, WBAC just offered £200 over what we paid. It’s not going anywhere, but was just interested to see what 2,000 miles cost in a new Porsche. Answer not very much.

Yep further concrete evidence as previously posted trade and retail prices are rising quickly as Spring beckons despite the usual armchair experts constantly bleating otherwise. hehe

Here is my current code.

http://www.porsche-code.com/PMEJPLF5

I have gone for buckets now - so now can't decide if the clubsport option is worth adding in...

Typical Porsche customer changing the mind all the time!

Thank-you. I really like the yellow stitching but I couldn't get my head around paying an extra £834 for it. I'll be fitting an Akrapovic slip-on exhaust at some point so the money saved will go towards that.

Interesting, a GTS 4.0 customer had the same thing today - see the other thread.

Issues with all Caysters or just 4.0 engined variants?
