Had my PEC day today. What a car the 718 GT4 is, so much grip it’s insane. In my view the car suits the PDK perfectly and launch control is nuts.

Spec lock down is in a few weeks and still on for a late July/Early August delivery. Exciting times!

Sounds great! Did they just have the one car to try or were you able to try manual etc as well? I've got my fingers crossed i'll get my PEC invite before my spec locks as it seems that some people don't get to do it early enough. I've also asked my sales guy today about a test drive in something with buckets and pdk so i'll see what they say too.

After a positive discussion last week, I was thinking of trying to go down the pts paint route but i can't help thinking i'll lose most of the £7k cost if it came to resale time.

You get booked in with the car/gearbox you order. Given the COVID situation there are certain restrictions, so unfortunately jumping in and out of different models/gearbox’s is not allowed.

I got my invite about three months before spec lock down if that helps. Fingers crossed you get yours soon.

Dashboard trim package in leather on the configurator has anyone NOT included this on their spec, if so how does it look? Asking as at £783 it is a tad expensive and maybe not really that necessary. Having said that I don’t want to spoil the overall look just to save a few quid. Thoughts please.

I think the plastic dash looks cheap, should be standard leather on a car that cost.

Yes I have the leather dash this is an addition to that as I understand it?

No brainer option and good value too makes the cabin a far nicer place to be and if not specced it will reduce the cars value by way more ££ come resale and be far harder to sell too.

I've got this in my GT3 and whilst it looks great, I have not specced this along with a coloured chrono clock on my Spyder as the windscreen reflection annoys me.

Yes gone with leather dash and carbon trim options. Whilst I agree it should be standard, I couldn’t order the car without it as it looks so cheap.

I’d much prefer the leather dash but as Batster has mentioned the reflection of the stitching just by the windscreen could be an issue.

If they could keep black stitching under the windscreen and the contrast stitching elsewhere then I’d definitely go for it.

AFAIK, if you order the racetex option in any of of 3 colours, the leather comes as standard on the dashboard, door cards etc.

I didn't spec it on mine and don't regret it at all.

Looks great, I’ve been debating crayon vs guards red where I’ve currently selected the former.

This is the case and it’s what I ordered for mine. Works well and while the extra cost did stick in my throat a little the thought of a cheap scratchy plastic dash in such an expensive car convinced me, glad I did.

Must admit as a GT3 fanboy the GT4 almost looks better particularly from the front!
