What did you think of the Nufenen?I‘m looking forward to some drives outs in the next few weeks, once I‘m back in Switzerland.
Currently near Alicante doing triathlon training and I have to say some of the roads I‘m cycling on up in the hills would be ideal to have the Spyder on. Quite twisty, good visibility, great road conditions, very little traffic (including cyclists and motorbikes).

My PDK GT4 build complete date has slipped back another couple of weeks. Originally May then mid June now end June. Anyone else seeing similar?
Yes my build has slipped too. Spyder was due mid-July, then went to mid-August and now looking like end August / early September. There must be production delays for some reason. At least, end of June isn’t too far away for you. MSR2012 said:
Finally collected my PDK after a pretty poor experience with the OPC, never has spending 90k been such an awkward experience, guess I’ll be using another one for maintenance ??
Early days but the PDK is so much better than my 981 for my use, hated my 981 GT4 in Traffic.

I originally spec'd mine in a similar way before I found out that the standard dials were black rather than white!

Have you the faintest idea how annoying those pictures are to us UK types stuck on our rock and not able to go for a drive around Europe.
In the words of my kids, well jel.
As I said in my post, there are plenty of places that you can go for great drives in the UK. Granted, you don't quite get the scenery there (though the Scottish Highlands are great!) but the tarmac itself is pretty good.In the words of my kids, well jel.
I did wonder whether to post or not but we've each had our hardships and advantages over others in this situation so I thought I'd post as it gives people hope for the future!

Turns out I had driven the Nufenen before in 2015 with the GTR Owners Club on our Euro Tour. One of our number (in a R33) blew his coolant tank right at the top where the hotel/restaurant is. I saw that the snowberg opposite is still present ... I also didn't realise that the Nufenen is the highest mountain pass in Switzerland.I‘m looking forward to some drives outs in the next few weeks, once I‘m back in Switzerland.

As a road itself, I still actually prefer the Susten - though the traffic wasn't great on saturday so it's hard to compare unless you get a clear run - but the scenery on the Nufenen is better. I will need to drive both (in full) back to back early on a week day to properly judge.
Is it correct that the authorities close the top sections of most of these high Alpine passes at night? I would like to drive them at night and benefit not only from clear roads but also from the views of the stars when I stop.
Let me know when you're back and we can head up there. I had wondered if I had seen you or not as there were a few GT4s & Spyders there.
I have heard that the roads in Spain are good. I just pulled out of a GTR tour to Spain but I hope that the others are able to go and enjoy the roads there!

I think that for a lot of people it really can depend on how you are able to use the car. If you end up commuting in it, it could affect the overall feel you get for the car.
I am lucky that I have a derestricted autobahn near me (though, they are not the most fun roads, typically, and the GT-R is more of an event on there than the GT4 because it's just so bloody quick!) and the Black Forest and it really helps you to be able to love the car when you have this kind of road. Today, I spent six hours driving in the Swiss Alps (30 degrees there, so would have been great for a Spyder) and even not close to the limit, the roads maketh the car.
Drove the Sustenpass (well, half of it, as I doesn't fully open until next Friday), Grimselpass, Furkapass, some of the Gotthard before switching the the Tremola pass (which was interesting, as it is cobblestone!), Nufenenpass and then back via the west section of the Furka and home via the Grimsel again. There seemed to be a Porsche club out there as well as came across a huge swathe of them parked up at the top of the Grimsel and many, many other Porsches out today.
For anyone who maybe doesn't "feel" the car, I really urge you to try to get it on some great roads - North 500, Military Road, Evo Triangle, Black Mountain Road, Cheddar Gorge, Snake Pass, ... there are so many in the UK; but I'd also try to get over the the Alps, Col de Turini, Route Napoleon, or the Black Forest if you are able - as I think that this will help you make the right decision as to whether the car is right for you or not.

That looks stunning!! A friend of mine has invited me over to Morzine for the summer, thinking of driving the GT4 over there..I am lucky that I have a derestricted autobahn near me (though, they are not the most fun roads, typically, and the GT-R is more of an event on there than the GT4 because it's just so bloody quick!) and the Black Forest and it really helps you to be able to love the car when you have this kind of road. If you do get the opportunity I really would. Plenty of nice roads near there, including the Petit St. Bernard to the south, which is a road I really enjoy!G
Good luck!
