JCR back box , who’s done it, would you do it again ? The car guys seemed to think it wasn’t really worth the £5k price tag. I know when coupled with the manifolds it sounds insane , but that’s 8/9k of a job.
It’s a nice sounding exhaust. Is overpriced but sounds nice. People have also opted for BCF.

Do you have one? Has anyone tried the Lichfield exhaust? £3.5 including Vat

Has anyone tried fitting the Cargraphics remote control valve open device and then seen how good bad or fugly the factory sports exhaust actually sounds

As I understand it because the valves close at circa 2k rpm and then open fully circa 5k rpm even with the JCR Lichfield or BCF options the sound track issue is more related to the valves than the actual stock exhaust

Can anyone confirm if this is the main issue before spending the serious money on a replacement box

There's lots of info in a couple of exhaust threads on here.

Valve controller with stock exhaust is louder but has drone in my experience. Standard exhaust is also quite restrictive, and does not mix cylinder banks unlike some replacements which are x-pipe designs.

JCR with standard valve controls seems to be the best minimal drone replacement but it's very expensive.

I have standard valve controls and a Ninemeister silencer. The volume and tone is perfect for me, there's a touch of drone between 2k-3k revs but it's tolerable, even more so if you don't press the PSE button so the exhaust valves stay shut and the valved intake resonator system that's piped into the cabin stays closed.

I have the free mod. on mine. 2 grub screws in the vac lines to the solenoids. I am assuming that this is the same as installing a vac line controller a la Cartographics, just without the adjustability. In my experience It is much better as it keeps the engine note nice and linear with throttle progression which makes it a much nicer drive. The actual exhaust note is nowhere near as nice as a non particulate filtered car as you loose all the harmonics as you go up and down the rev range. However without spending a bean it’s way better than standard and very easily reversed.
I have heard various JCR equipped cars and they sound awesome but insanely loud which rather defeats the point for me. I want nice noises without unnecessary attention.

Have you tried just doing one vacuum line, its a good bit less harsh and the PSE button still works for what good it is.Cannot see the point in speccing PSE as when you press it stationary it will open the valves but close them as soon as you pull off, will open valves regardless if you have it switched on or off at around 3k revs.Always liked the quad pipes against the 2 as well.

Guys, I’m having second thoughts on wheel colour. Currently crayon with satin black but I’ve just seen crayon with arum gold and it looks really good.

Any feedback on the two combinations?

Seeing the gold seems to provide a different dimension... decisions decisions

But that sound was with Kline headers already fitted
Interesting , that wasn’t a Lichfield system though. BSF if I heard correctly, I will check them out. How much was that whole system with headers?

Looks good to me, but the consensus is to lose the red calipers if you go Aurum wheels as it looks a bit busy otherwise. Try and look at the wheels in real-life as well, they're a bit more orange than you think - not too bad but they can put some people off.

Anyone found a pic of a real life GT4 or Spyder in Shark Blue yet? I have seen plenty of GT3s but no 718s. Thanks in advance.

This is Voodoo which is very similar… although these photos are too light I think compared to other voodoo pics I’ve seen.

I think you're right. I've got a Voodoo Blue Macan and its a darker, deeper blue than those pictures. Shark blue is a bit lighter than Voodoo in my opinion but to date I've not had the opportunity to compare them side by side so can't be sure how significant the difference is.

Thanks all. Yes agreed Voodoo is very close but not quite Shark.

If anyone finds a pic, please feel free to upload it. If not I will share mine once it arrives late July.

This is my Voodoo Spyder with the Shark Blue colour plate borrowed from a Porsche Dealers samples

Basically as you can see Shark is just the new name for Voodoo - Only Porsche could pull a stunt like this and get away with it furiouslaugh

For those who did not spec carbon inlays, anyone opt for the ‘Anthracite’ inlays as opposed to the default silver aluminium ones?

Interior is racetex with silver stitching with GR dials and seatbelts.
